I always appreciate the amount of Biblical insight that Cindi includes when she speaks and writes. The wisdom in this book is so applicable to life in general, I was able to apply things to (non-parenting) situations in life that arose as I was reading it. This book not only does an excellent job of encouraging moms of children at any age, it is also great for grandmothers who can also fall in to the trap of worry for their grandchildren. With two young children at home, I will definitely be re-reading this book and praying it's prayers over my children throughout my parenting journey.
I absolutely loved this book!! It is for all moms, whether you're a young mom with small children or one with grown children. The whole book is saturated with scripture and filled with wonderful gems of truth, so much so, that my book is marked up with things that grabbed my attention. I love that at the end of each chapter there is a Q & A that can be used as a group or personal study. Cindi also included prayers where you can fill in your child's name and pray it over them. I wish this book would have been around when my children were young. This would make a wonderful gift for new mom starting out. It is a book of great encouragement that directs us to turn our worries back to God.
I love reading Cindi's books and have been doing so for years. She has a knack for pouring encouragement and spiritual insight into her readers simply through the pages of a book. 10 Secrets to Becoming a Worry-Free Mom has been a God-send to me. It is filled with tips for helping moms release our worries to the One who will take them away.
This book offers great practical advice any mom can put into use right away to become a less stressed parent. I love how Cindi backs up her advice with Biblical truths. Every mom should have this book as a reference guide!
Cindi McMenamin's latest book is an incredibly encouraging and practical resource for moms who want to kick the worry habit. It's full of real-life stories of moms who faced extremely difficult situations with their children, yet they learned to trust in God's power and love, both for them and their children. Each chapter ends with a "Putting It Into Practice" section, with specific actions steps you can take to start living a worry-free life. It also has a "Becoming a Worry-Free Mom in Community" section to work on with a friend or Bible study group. And, as in all of Cindi's books, it's full of Scriptures to point you "the Perfect Parent" - God Himself. I highly recommend this book to mothers (and grandmothers) of children of any age. It will provide help and hope for your worried heart!
