Each of the 100 stories are illustrated, have a key verse, a short prayer, and a song that goes with that lesson. The short stories have stories from the Bible or the author's childhood. All the stories intertwine Biblical principles in them with application for today. The songs are clearly marked on the devotional page. So, you will know which CD and which song number goes with that story. Some of the songs are classic songs such as "Now the Day is Over," others are newer upbeat songs such as the one that goes with the title of this review. The songs have children's voices singing with some adults. If you are looking for a devotional for young children or even just a Christian Children's music CD, this does not disappoint.

Today's book review is for a book called 100 Read and Sing Devotions, which was created by Stephen Elkins and illustrated by Tim O'Connor. The book is a beautifully illustrated devotional that parents can share with their children. The padded cover gives the book a feeling of quality and the music CD's that accompany the book add to the appeal. The songs on the CD are sung by kids, and the little voices give the songs a better with the book and devotional. Each devotion is set to start with a song, then a short story which is accompanied by a prayer and bible verse. When I first open the package with the book I was expecting to see a book of bible stories, but when I read through the entries I found myself really liking the layout. The book has the perfect length of reading that keeps a young child interested. When I listened to the CD my one-year-old daughter stopped playing and listened to the songs being played. I find that using children to sing the songs is an added touch that made the Book and CD combination complete. A great book to read to your children or to gift to parents for sharing with their children.

Looking for a devotional book that you think your kids will like? Well then, look no further, 100 Devotions, 100 Bible Songs is just the right book for kids of all ages. It's easy to read, easy to follow with attractive illustration for the young children's eyes. Personally, I think this book is rather eye-catchy, and children would be really tempted to hook up with it. I highly recommends this book as gifts and as material to be used in Sunday classes in church. I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. I received an ARC of this book from Tommy Nelson Publisher and i was not compensated in any ways for writing this review.

100 Read & Sing Devotions Do you have a child in your life that you long to share God's Word with, but need a little guidance as where to start? 100 Read & Sing Devotions is a great book to get you started. Per the title, the book contains 100 devotionals, each one including a song, written devotional, scripture, and a prayer. The book is also arranged in a Biblical order with the devotional material extending from the Old Testament to the New. Also included with the devotional are 2 CD's that go along with each devotion, the corresponding song number labeled on the page as a guide. This is a super-cute devotional. I recently had a friend ask me if I could recommend a devotional for her 5 year old son, and I wasn't very familiar with devotionals, only children's Bibles. Now I have something to share with her! I believe the content would be appropriate for children ages 3-10. One example of a devotional you will find is "The Lord Is Good to Me." The song that goes with it is of the same name as the devotional title. The content is the story of Hannah, and how she was given baby Samuel after she prayed. The scripture is "Wait for the Lord."-Psalm 27:14. And the prayer is "Lord, You have heard my prayer. Now I will wait on You to answer. Amen." As I said in my introduction, I would recommend this book for anyone who would like to teach their child about the Lord and His Word, but doesn't know where to start. It is a great devotional for anyone with small children. It would also be great for teachers in a church nursery, daycare, or even at school. Many blessings to you on your journey with the Lord, and the special children in your life! ~Beth Disclosure Statement: I received this book free from Booksneeze as part of a free books for bloggers program. This is a children's devotional book that has two compact discs filled with Christian music. The purpose of this book is to get parents and kids together for devotionals including music and the messages that the music brings to us. This book I would say is geared toward maybe a kid between the ages of 3 to 7 although some of the subject matter seams to be more for a teen or preteen the younger kids would enjoy the style much more. I will probably skip over some of the devotionals when reading them to my daughter just because they don't match up with what I believe as a Christian. Although many of the devotionals don't match up age wise the concept of quiet times about or set to the music that we sing is a great idea. I have been going over some with my daughter age 2 even though I know she don't understand because it is important to start early teaching our children about our amazing God. She enjoys listening to the songs and quietly pays attention to the little devotional afterwards. I love the illustrations they are full of color and positive energy. I would say to others to look at the authors spiritual believes before buying this or any other devotional book for your kids so that you can get the most out of it. Every page of this book are little nuggets rich in scriptures through illustrations, reading, a short verse and a small prayer. I found it to be of high quality in terms of the book cover, page quality and oh it also comes with 2 CDs full of songs. If I were to give this as a gift, I am sure to "wow" the receiver. But I am not gifting this to anyone as my son loves to read this book! He finds it easy to understand and he is also learning the short Bible verses, which is awesome. The CDs have found their home in our car and my son ( and me) loves the songs and sings along by shaking his head to the beats! It is a great set for small children as young as 3 and a valuable tool to teach and help children grow in their faith. School isn't in session yet here (I can't get used to the fact they don't start til after Labor Day), so I've had plenty of kids around to share this latest book and CD set. 100 Devotions, 100 Bible Songs includes 2 CD's. I found this convenient, as one CD instantly went into the car, and the other stayed at home. We also had some out-of-town company this week, so got to double up on the kid testers. All in all, this book and CD was a hit. Some of the stuff was familiar to the kids, and they could sing along. Others were new (at least to us!) and will be learned in time. The book itself is sturdy and well-illustrated, enough to catch the attention of the kids. I think this book will be a valuable addition to a child's collection. Please note that I received this book at no charge from BookSneeze in exchange for an honest review.
