In this compellingly funny book author Lee Wardlaw helps the main character, Steve ¿Sneeze¿ Wyatt, find an amusing way to keep the fans begging for more excitement. The reason that it¿s so funny is because Steve, Goldie, and Hiccup say and do. 101 ways to Bug your Parents follows the journey of the young Steve ¿Sneeze¿ Wyatt as he desperately tries to get to the Invention Convention. This book isn¿t directly about bugging your parents so if readers are just looking for a list of ways to annoy their parents this wouldn¿t be the book for them and it will be a waste of time and money. This book is about a boy named Steve ¿Sneeze¿ Wyatt, who wants to become an inventor and gets invited to this invention convention, he needs $250 to get there. So he gets an idea. What if he sells a list of 101 ways to bug your parents? In addition to writing the list he also gets a side job of working at a golf place called Gadabout Golf. He fixes up the windmill and all the extra cool golf course stuff. When Steve brings in the ¿Nice Alarm¿ to school he tries it out on his best friend, Hiccup. Supposedly it wakes you up nicely with a pat on the shoulder but instead it karate chops Hiccup in the nose. Hiccup comes up and says My Nose but Wardlaw spelled it ¿By Dose,¿ because if you hold your nose and talk it sounds funny but different. This is what makes Lee Wardlaw such a phantasmagorical author. She does an excellent job in making the readers feel like they¿re right next to Steve in his journey to the Invention Convention.

In the early pages, I disliked what appeared to be a snarky, obsessive, self-centered, & selfish young hero. And I would hate for this book to land in the hands of a child who already possesses those unfortunate characteristics. But, as the book progressed, his better character traits came to the fore. Sneeze, our hero, is an inventor of more than a few failed inventions but he never gives up. His best friend, Hiccup, is his main supporter. Nicknames abound that the intended age group should find amusing. For months, Sneeze has been looking forward to a family vacation that would include a stop at the Invention Convention and the possibility of selling his latest invention. Epic fail. Finances are tight. The vacation gets cancelled. His parents need to work. They enroll him in a summer class with his least favorite teacher in lieu of a babysitter. Could life get any worse? The book title comes from Sneeze's choice of topic in the summer creative writing class. He researches and tests these methods out on his parents for two obvious reasons. (Pity them!) 1- To vent his anger for canceling the vacation; and, 2- To sell the finished product to raise money to go to the convention on his own. Okay, the kid definitely has an obnoxious side but as time and the book progress, he works hard, learns a few lessons and his better side emerges. His admirable perseverance sees him through trials and tribulations both at home, school, and work, with fellow classmates, the school system, parents, and a prickly co-worker. In the end, he acts both reasonably and honorably and becomes a hero in the true sense of the word. Not a bad finish.

A budding inventor wants to go to the Invention Convention, but his parents back out of taking him at the last minute. Determined to find a way to raise money so he can attend the convention, he starts writing a list of ways to bug parents, which he then, on the advice of friends, decides to turn into a book and sell. Sequel is called 101 Ways to Bug Your Teachers.

I thought the book was okay. It was hard to follow and there were way to many characters to keep up with. I would not recommend this book to anybody younger than me (10) because it was hard to understand.

101 Ways to Bug Your Parents is about a boy loves to invent stuff. He had a dream to go to an inventors convention, but to go he had to make money. So he wrote a book. I liked the characters because there was one of everything, like a cool guy, a sassy girl and a paranoid boy.I thought the plot was clever because you don't read books about ways to bug your parents very often.

101 Ways to Bug Your Parents is a hilarious book about kids, such as Steve ''Sneeze'' Wyatt and ''Goldie'' Laux (who's the Vice Principals daughter) that you can find yourself believing in with only having to slightly use your imagination. The author, Lee Wardlaw, has done a phenomenal job of weaving them all into a realistic yet fully fantasized adventure. Though not the trekking through wilderness or mysterious kind, her adventure unfolds when Sneeze's parents cancel their trip to Northern CA which included a visit to The Invention Convention that ''Sneeze'', an inventor through and through, was really looking forward to, so much so that he decides to go alone to show of his latest invention the Nice Alarm. It seems though, that upon canceling their trip ''Sneeze's'' parents have enrolled him in a creative writing camp, This is where ''Sneeze'' gets his big idea, and puts it into action a plan which will hopefully get him to the desired Invention Convention! An attention-grabbing plot with characters and places described beautifully, this book is a fun and non-serious read for people of all ages to read or have read to them. Marvelous job Lee Wardlaw!

101 ways to bug your parents by Lee Wardlaw is an incredibly funny book. Sneeze decided to sell books at school so that he could earn $500 to go to the invention convention. If I were Sneeze I'd be scared to sell books at school. I'd be very embarassed to go to a school meeting because being around all of those teachers would be very scary. I thought when Sneeze and Hiccup were finding ways to bug your parents was funny because they were spying on children and their parents to find things to put in their book. Sneeze has always dreamed to be a famous inventor. Read this book and you'll find out if his dream comes true!!!

101 Ways To Bug Your Parents by Lee Wardlaw is an amazing story about a boy who dreams of being a inventor, but when his parents, instead of taking him to a inventor convention, enroll him in a creative writing Summer Camp, it begins to seem he'll never be an inventor. But then he stumbles apon an idea so great it would allow him to possibly go to the convention without his parents. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a bit of comedy, but also learn a few things. I also thnk this book is difficult to read if you are under 7.

If your parents make you scream (or want to scream) at times, this book is for you! Its plot is wonderful, and Sneeze and Hiccup (the main characters) are hilarious! In the story, Sneeze is about to go to the Invention Convention-but the trip is cancelled! In order to go, Sneeze must raise $500! To do it, Sneeze sells a book to children-illegally! 101 Ways to Bug Your Parents is a book anyone would like to read.

Sneeze's attempt to get to the Invention Convention is hilarious. The list in the back of the book really works! My favorite part was when Sneeze stood up to all of the adults at the board meeting to save Scribbler, and when he and Hiccup try to drive Sneeze's parents mad! If you want to read a book about a boy striving for his dream read this bo

The only way Sneeze can get to the invention convention is with a hardware shop owner. The Nice Alarm has a man who is thinking of buying it. Can he sell enough copies of 101 To Bug Your Parents to earn his way there?
