If judged merely by the title this book seems somewhat "silly". Actually, though, it's a very good book about how to meet people (not just for dating). I thought I should write a review after I saw that a LibraryThing(er) tagged this book, "Books I'm embarrassed to have read." :) it's well-written and has great ideas for starting a conversation, places to meet people, breaking the ice in social situations . . . I've recommended this book to customers in the bookstore where I work when they were looking for a book that would help them meet people and feel comfortable about it. I can't say that many of them have bought it, though. Darn the title anyway! :) Of course, I also have a hard time convincing people to buy The Sparrow by Mary Doria Russell but when they do they come back to thank me!

Intellectually I am a very intense. I graduated in math and have had two pretty impressive jobs since. Physically I am told that I am attractive... but my intense personality would always ruin whatever with whomever. Now before I go out, I read a few pages of 101 Ways to Flirt. It is a nice reminder that even women with my same intellectual capability go out to have fun. And any thing beyond having fun is just trying to hard. (It worked so well that on a road trip, my friends and I did about a year ago, I helped each of my traveling companions meet friends. One is now engaged to the woman he met on that trip.)
