Learn Something Everyday... Ordered this book as I had never heard about Brian Boru and Irish History before the lands were taken by the Saxons. Found the book well researched and very well written. The battle sound similar in some aspects to Hastings and with "treachery" (perhaps) similar to Stanley at Bosworth. Recommend this book to anyone interested in Medieval History, Irish History or simply a person interested in history and wanting to lear something new. Highly recommend it for your library.

They weren't Saxons, they were Norse. The Saxons invaded Britain.
