I could not put this book down! A wonderfully-written, thoughtful immersion into the world of a 19 year-old student-turned-soldier. Throughout it all, Mike somehow manages to maintain his sense of humor, as he and his daughter give their readers a close and honest look into the daily life of a soldier in Viet Nam. This book is powerful, it's moving, and it's extremely relevant today. I thought I had big problems before reading this book gave me the biggest dose of perspective I could ask for!
