In the winter of 1692 there was fervor over accusations that there were witches and warlocks living among settlers of the new world. These accusations, which resulted in executions, were the work of dark warlocks and or witches. Witches and warlocks were sent along with the Puritans as protectors. Protectors against evil creatures and dark magic.

Dark craft exposed the world of magic as well as those who were sent to protect the Puritans. These witches and warlocks were not heretics but gifted people that possessed magical powers. Lacking natural explanations for certain things the Puritans turned to supernatural explanations. Little did the Puritans know that dark magic was guiding them down a ruinous path.
