18 Things is the story of a seventeen-year old girl’s healing journey. When Connor, the boy Olga Worontzoff  is in love with dies during a lightning storm, Olga has to deal with her grief, survivor’s guilt and the blame placed on her for Connor’s death by his friends and family. Her therapist tells her to make a list of eighteen things she would like to do by the time she turns eighteen. On her journey, Olga’s nemesis, Toe-Touch Tammy, a popular cheerleader who blames her for Connor’s death, nearly loses her dad to alcoholism. The two unlikely girls become friends and together, work through their grief. This young adult novel should appeal to all kids, boys and girls, who want to read an emotion-packed story about overcoming loss and gaining self confidence on the way.

Inspiring and emotional journey about a girl who seems like family to me. Geared more to teens, but I think all ages will take away a message and hopefully create their own bucket list.

An inspirational message to people of all ages. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you will be touched by the characters friendships. My best recommendation is to buy it, read it, then share it. In writing this, I also hope to persuade you to make your own bucket list that will take you outside your comfort zone. There is no doubt in my mind that this book will help get you started. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I teach middle school and there is a great message in this book for teens. I can't wait for the second one to come out!

An inspirational message with lots of humor and larger than life characters! Plenty of Star Wars references for an awesome geek romance and I loved the music! I cried in the prologue--don't skip over it! And I cried during the speech in chapter 17. I never saw the ending coming--thought I had it figured out and then she surprised me again! I sat there in shock digesting it, but then I read the prologue for 18 Truths and I can't wait for the next book!18 Things will definitely make you think!
