The play of the seasons on this land of sun and shadow, passing storm and lingering mist, and the infinitely variable moods of the Irish sky are captured in fifty-three striking photographs by Ireland's premier photographer. From Donegal down to Cork, and from Kerry across to Cavan, they evoke the scenic treasures of one of the world's loveliest countries. Tom Kelly (b. Limerick, 1952) has worked internationally as a freelance photographer and graphic designer. He has also published three books: Legendary Ireland, Literary Ireland, and , with the poet Seamus Heaney, Ireland: The Living Landscape. An excerpt from historic Irish literature attends each photograph.
