After easily passing the federal portion of the Real Estate test, but failing twice on the state aspect, I purchased this test hoping to improve my knowledge, and ultimately, score. I found the ebook easy enough to read and navigate, however, the wording was clearly not “Oregon specific.” They used terms like sales person instead of agent or broker, and never used the term Principal broker, when referring to an overseeing agent. The pagination was also an issue, as most of the book is questions and answers with reasons why. I appreciate the reasons why, even if some of the responses were too simple or still lacked justification. The main problem was that often the answer was on the same page as the questions and multiple choices. I had to cover each page with my other hand while turning pages so as not to reveal the answer before I tried it myself. Also, how hard would it to have an actual test, where we choose the answers and then have it scored at the end, digitally. I really have no idea how well I did on the 300 questions for state, as I often saw the real answer and either thought, oh yeah, or what? That doesn’t seem to match what I learned in my classroom setting. I’d say 10% of the questions were questionable, 2 made me so mad I looked up he answer to prove this book wrong. A few had typos...whatever. The book was cheap. It may help me a tiny bit. It could’ve been much better. I’d say I’m 15% better prepared than last time.
