With so much to live for and so much to lose, what better way to understand than to put it into a poem? It forces you to remember what’s been happening and to look toward the rays of hope throughout the year as well as the ones that will continue to come, because our country is one of hope and success for all. Tarin Breuner's 2017 is a way of looking at the events of the past year and really reflecting on what it means to be an American, and what it means to stand for what we have always stood for as a country.
2017 is an amazing , emotional book of poetry that brings you on roller coaster ride through the year's events. Tarin Breuner balances her poetry with good and bad, the tragedies and the heroes, and while at times it's a tear jerker, you come out hopeful. I highly recommend!
