About the Author

Robert Hunter has been involved in writing and activism since the early 1960s. In the year 2000, Time magazine named him one of the ten eco-heroes of the previous century for his role as a pioneer in ecological activism and as a co-founder of Greenpeace. As a recognized figure in the field –and as a “grand old man” of ecological activism – he was also a speaker at a climate-change conference in The Hague.

Hunter is the author of a number of books (including co-author of Occupied Canada, which won a Governor General’s Award) written between forays into politics and attempts to raise awareness about climate crisis.
