Found this book to be a wonderful read, though I am not a hunter, nor have I ever been to Africa. I enjoy Mr. Donarski's writing, his way with words. It was an educational mini vacation to a land that's always intrigued me.
A book only about hunting, hardly. Its about having a dream and living it. Its about going to a strange land and falling in love with its beauty. The descriptions and photos make me want to be able to experience Africa someday just like Mr Donarski did. I should not use the word someday because like in the book, someday will never come. I have experienced Africa in my mind thanks to this book and I will in person soon, Thanks Mr Donarski
While reading this book, I felt like I was right there in Africa, not only hunting for these exotic animals but also capturing the beauty of the land. I do not have to imagine what it was like to actually be there, now I know. The photos in the book are remarkable. Whether you are a hunter or not, you will enjoy this adventure, this safari.
Daniel Donarski has written an exceptional book. It is like you are right there with him as he is experiencing Africa for the first time. This book is not just about hunting, it is about friendships, old and new, about living ones dreams and in a spititual way, finding an inner peace. The book makes me want to experience Africa in the same way. I have learned that Mr Donarski will be leaving shortly to go over seas for our country, may he return home safely and as soon as possible. Hopefully there is another book in the works for him.
