Nesser is a highly sought-after Brazilian wax technician who has received insight into relationships and women's issues from working in the beauty industry for thirty years. Nesser owns the Mark & M.E. Salon with her husband in Rochester, New York. They have three grown children.

Nesser earned her bachelor's degree in sociology and her master's degree in education.
