Joy and happiness are often treated as synonyms, but joy is so much more than simply feeling happy. Happiness is the feeling you get when the guy in front of you pays for your coffee at the drive-thru or your boss lets you off work a bit early. Joy is something you feel deep in your soul.
Although the pages that follow will help you discover what joy means to you, take this book as seriously or as lightly as you need. While there are a few questions that will specifically direct you to write, draw, or doodle, feel free to engage with this journal however you prefer—maybe you’d rather include a photograph or a collage. There are no wrong answers or methods here—all that matters is that you’re choosing joy every day!
You’ll notice two pages at the end of this journal to write down songs that speak to you every day during your journey. Once you’ve written out your full playlist, please share it. Create it on Spotify and tweet it to @WaterBrookPress using #JoyfulPlaylist.

I am a big book fan and love doodling and writing in journals so this book was right up my alley! This book 30 Days to Joy is meant to inspire you and assist you ponder and think about joy. What is joy? What is happiness? What is the difference? The pages are sprinkled with prompts, scripture, and room for you to respond, doodle, draw, or write. The fun of this book is that it can be whatever you want it to be. It's designed to be used for 30 days but I find myself using this a few days per week, pondering previous entries, adding to them, or just for the sake of time. The book is so pretty I don't want to rush through it. This book is well made and would be perfect for a gift. It's a hardcover, approx. 8x5, bound really nicely, the paper is smooth, thick stock, and it comes with a pretty rusty red colored ribbon. I received a complimentary book from Waterbrook Multnomah as part of the Waterbrook Creatives Launch Team, however my opinions above are strictly my own.
30 Days to Joy: A One-Month Creative Journal is among my favorite journals I have owned. It is small and easy to take anywhere. Do not let the size for you as it is full of faith, inspiration, and joy. Each day has an inspirational saying or Bible verse referring to Joy. There are, also, a couple of pages that one can answer questions by writing or making their own illustrations. And there are beautiful designs that can be used for coloring . The following sections are at the end of the journal: Create your playlist - where 30 joyful songs can be listed What I have learned about myself-two pages that can be used for illustration or writing Where do I go from here-two pages that can be used for illustration or writing About the author-the owner of the journal fills out this page to tell about themselves Acknowledgments - the owner of the journal fills out this page thanking those who have brought them joy into their life. I think this would make a fabulous gift! I cannot wait to see the reaction from my friend when she receives hers from me. Highly recommended. 100 stars. I received this journal from blogging for books program. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
