Most Helpful Customer Reviews
We used this book for an entry level bible study class. The book does a wonderful job explaining the geography and historical implications of the Old Testament. It catagorizes the books in a way that makes the content understandable. It provides a good roadmap on how to read the bible, important for those of us who've attempted to read through it like it were a novel. However, the review of the New Testament departs from an educational, unbiased, historical review and seems to be more bent on debunking elementary arguements of Jesus' birth and resurrection.
