30 Minutes: A Soldier's Song by Marcus Blake

A gruesome death, a politically motivated murder, and a conspiracy that hits too close to home will make the next case for Agent Donnelly and Agent Main, but they will soon find that solving a murder doesn't guarantee peace!

A Senior Irish Political Official is found dead after leaving a secret meeting in New York City. It's a brutal death and while it appears to be an accident, some in the Irish Political Party, Sinn Fein, believe it was murder. Agent Gavin Donnelly and Agent Rachel Main are asked to look into it and what they find is that there is nothing ordinary about this death. However, this is just the beginning. The Irish Political Official's death comes on the heels of a peace summit between the Irish and British Governments that would return North Ireland to the Republic of Ireland. Agent Donnelly sees a conspiracy in the midst while his partner disagrees until other murders start to pop up and are mysteriously linked to each other. But who is committing these murders and why? Can Agent Donnelly and Agent Main catch the killer in time before his next target disrupts the peace summit? The next case in the 30 Minutes Series is a murder wrapped in politics and even when you can see the future, every minute counts when trying to find a killer!

After reading books 1 and 2 the 30 Minutes Series I was quickly captivated by the stories and the characters. The books are a thrill ride and the mystery is a perfect guess game. I didn’t know if Book 3 could be any better than the first two books, but I was wrong.  Book 3 A Soldier’s Song is probably the best one in the 30 Minutes Series. I like the Irish story in the series, being Irish myself,  it kind of hits home. Gavin Donnelly is one of the best characters in literature.

I read the other books in the series and quickly became a fan. Mr. Blake has done a fantastic job with the series.

Great read, well suited for a train or plane ride, or while tucked away on one of the pub's corner benches on a rainy afternoon. The characters come to life easily, interact well and keep the reader interested in why they do what they do, and Marcus writes with  enough detail to make scenes real without bogging us down with too much. A fast moving, easy to read and entertaining mystery that  carries the reader through in a short pleasant way. I'm looking forward to catching up with the lead character Gavin Donnelly with future adventures!

Holy Cow, this is was a fantastic Book. Book 3 in the 30 Minutes kept me riveted with excitement on every page. I could not put this book down. After reading the first two books in Marcus Blake’s 30 Minutes Series, really wanted to read Book 3, I finished in a day and it was everything I thought it was going to be. Exciting, Intense, thrilling…I can use more words to describe it, but I will only use one more…masterpiece. If you love mystery, you will love Marcus

Sometimes you get books recommended to you that turn out to be duds. Book 3 in the 30 Minutes Series is not one of those books. It was recommended to me by a friend and the book did not disappoint. I read the first two books in Mr. Blake’s 30 Minutes Series and was truly impressed. I can’t wait for the next book in series.

Big Fan! I became a fan with the first book in Marcus Blake’s 30 Minutes Series and with each book the series has just gotten better.  I couldn’t put this book down, the mystery in Book 3, A Soldier’s Song , the conspiracy behind the North Ireland Peace Summit was brilliant considering the history behind the Irish struggles with Great Britain. Gavin Donnelly and Rachel Main add a lot of depth to the story, but my favorite character is Dr. Steven Larkin. There is an interesting story behind his character and in this book we get to find out who he really is and his secret is a good one.  I think books fans who love mystery books will like Marcus Blake’s 30 Minutes Series especially Book 3, A Soldier’s Song.

I could not put the book down.

Great Book! I read the other two books in the series and really enjoyed them. The Mystery is fantastic and I couldn’t figure it out until the end of the book. Some mysteries are easy to figure out, but Mr. Blake keeps you guessing through the book. For book fans that love mystery you should check this series out.

I love true crime novels and thrillers, came across this book last week. I started book one and couldn’t put it done and then immediately started book 3.  Both books are fantastic. Being Irish, I could relate to Irish characters and their community as well as the Pub in the book. Marcus Blake definitely captured those aspects and it the story in both books fantastic.  I recommend this book to true crime fans.

WOW and double WOW…I could not put this book down. Marcus Blake has done a great job with Book 3 in the 30 Minutes Series.  Full of suspense the book keeps you guessing all the way to the end. And the conspiracy in the book is one of the best stories that I’ve ever ready. Fans of mystery should definitely get Book 3 and the first 2 books of the 30 Minutes Series.

Not always a fan of mystery, but this book really had me interested. I got book one and two and couldn’t put it down so I got the third one…it was even better than the first two books. I liked the storyline of this one, a government conspiracy surrounding North Ireland.. The 30 Minutes Series has me hooked and I would definitely recommend these books to anyone that loves mystery.

Somebody recommended the 30 minute series by Marcus Blake and I have to say he doesnt disappoint. I just got through reading book 3 and while the first two were absolutely fantastic, this one is by far the best in the series. and everybody leave you guessing and wanting more. I've been recommending this book to my book club so we can discuss it... I still have a lot of questions about the books and I know that's the mark of a great author.

Good  mystery is always hard to find, but I got quite a surprise when I read book one of the 30 minute series by marcus blake. I couldn't put the book down. I read book to it was the same way and I finally just finished book 3 and all I can say as everybody keeps getting better. the mystery in his books and the  conspiracy he writes about is so good that makes you just want more. every one of those characters are great too. plus I leave reading everybody with so many questions. I feel the same way reading these books as I did when I was watching the TV show Lost. Marcus Blake has done a wonderful job with a 30 minute series and I think everybody you love a good mystery should read these books.

Wow I could not put this book down. I read the first two in the 30 minute series and they were both fantastic mysteries. book 3 on the other hand just took this great mystery to a whole new level. Marcus blake has become one of my favorite authors. 30 minutes: a soldier's song is the best win the series and the twist at the end of the book is making me can't wait for the next one. Marcus Blake is a great mystery writer and has done for mystery and true crime novels the way JK Rowling did  for fantasy novels.

Fantastic book, I couldn't put this book down. Marcus Blake is created a wonderful mystery that leave you guessing at every turn of the page. the only thing that would make these characters better is if they were on TV. his characters Agent Donnelly and Agent manhave quickly become some of my favorite characters in books. there are a lot of mysteries that bore me, but everybody going to 30 minutes series has just made me wanting more. the newest on,  book 3, gives readers the biggest mystery of all. this is such a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anybody who loves mystery.

I have been a fan of this series since the beginning and it just keeps getting better.  While Book 3, A Soldier’s Song is a little slower than the first two books, the overall mystery in this book 3 more than makes up for it. I would have to say that the mystery and the conspiracy in book 3 is more intriguing than in the first two books especially with it being linked to Agent Donnelly’s family.  I loved every part of this book just the like the other ones and this one really captured my attention with the added information that you find out about Agent Donnelly and his backstory. Plus and I won’t give it away, the big twist at the end is what makes this book so good. It’s not often that a book can shock me, but A Soldier’s Song did just that towards the end of the book.  There’s a lot of interesting Irish History in this book as well.  Marcus Blake has done a great job with Book 3 giving more details about the overall conspiracy in the 30 minutes Series. His characters, good and bad, are rich and intriguing making you want to read more about them, and with each book they just get better.  I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
