Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
The claim to be a guide to information on the Internet is a bold one. Many authors try unsuccessfully to direct readers to favorable sites and to steer them clear of unfavorable sites. Author Ken Leebow has worked in the computer technology field for 20 years. Fascinated by all the Internet has to offer, he has written several books about the resources available there. Checking a random selection of the sites he offers kids, I found three out of five to be instructional, informative, or fun. One of the five sites required kids to list an e-mail address before allowing them to play the games. One of the five was no longer active. However, the wealth of information included here about homework sites, game sites, and entertainment sites makes this a worthwhile purchase for parents and kids. An index by site number adds to the user-friendly nature of this guide. 1999, 300Incredible.com, $8.95. Ages 10 to Adult. Reviewer: Joyce Rice
