I am both a player of and maker of Native American Flutes. In the course of my work, it has led me to study such things as Native American culture and spirituality. When I picked up a copy of 365 Days Of Walking The Red Road, I was surprised by what I found it to be. It is not just a devotional book of Native American quotes. It is also a mini history, book, culture book, calendar of events, and biographies, all mixed together into one very small, but extremely useful and informative book. I use this book every single day and find the quotes from famous Native American inspiring, but also get a lot out of information as understanding the meaning of certain colors in Native culture, the significance of the phases of the moon, the background of the different seasons, and the marking of holidays and events you would not find in a traditional almanac. This little book packs a wealth of information and wisdom for both Native and non-Native alike. It has since become a source of daily inspiration for me. I highly recommend it as required reading, be it the hard copy or Nook edition. For in the end, we find that we all, in one way or another, walk the Red Road. Consider this book your guide for your own spiritual quest.

Very enjoyable reading about people and events that involve Native Americans. A lot to learn, history, views on life, nature. I've bought this for friends and given as gifts.

Really enjoyed the book. Lots of quotes and history. The real history of this nation belongs to the Native Americans.

I was given this book as a birthday present and I absolutely LOVED it. It's small, fits into my purse - yet it's 400 pages so it's thick with info. It has hundreds of great quotes in it, some biographical info on the speaker and lots of cultural and historical stuff too. Totally educational and inspirational. If you know someone who wants to learn more about the Native culture/people and history - buy them this book. I'm giving it away this Christmas as gifts to people in my family. Oh, and I found her website (on the back of the book) and she writes a truly in-you-face column too that is something that also needs to be turned into a book.

I thought that there would be more depth to insight of Indian lore instead I got a "quote for the day" and occasional historic statement about something that happened on this day.
