Yes. Just, yes. Head to the nearest book store now. Run, don’t walk. In her new book, 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit, Nicki Koziarz does it right. She is honest, hilarious, and flat out calls you out on quitting. I have to be honest, I was not too excited about reading this book because I am fully aware that I am a recovering quitter. When things get tough, I am the first one to throw in the towel. But let me tell you, when I picked up this book, I could not quit reading! When reading this book, it honestly feels like Nicki Koziarz is right across from you. Like you are having genuine and honest girl talk over a cup of coffee. Nicki dives into the five habits she gleans from a woman in Scripture who never quit, Ruth. These five habits include: she accepts the assignment of refinement, she follows through with her commitments despite how she feels, she stays open to the movement of God, she gives others what she needs, and she moves forward in faith. If you finished this book in a day and are wanting more of this honest talk, don’t freak out! Nicki Koziarz has created a bible study to go along with her book that you can purchase through Lifeway. Also, as a writer for Proverbs 31 Ministries, Nicki also did an online bible study on their website. You can check out several of these videos through their YouTube channel page and through social media channels using #5HabitsBook. Book Description Have you ever gotten to the place where you just couldn’t take it anymore? Dreams. Programs. Jobs. Relationships. There are so many different areas where we feel like calling it quits. It’s time for an honest conversation on how not to give in to the temptation to give up. Nicki Koziarz is a woman who has thrown in the towel a time or two. In fact, she’s quit just about everything in her life. But with God’s help, she’s discovered a few habits that have helped her and others conquer the choice to quit. 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit will enable you to: - Evaluate the internal personal struggles that make you want to quit - Cultivate consistent habits to help you progress toward your goals - Receive a fresh dose of perspective from the Bible that will help you develope perseverance Bible Study Description 5 Practical Habits To Keep Your Eyes On God A 6-Session Study from the Book of Ruth Every woman will eventually face it: the temptation to give in and give up. But something transformative happens when a woman decides to persevere in the face of difficulty and pain. A woman who refuses to quit influences her world in ways she could never have imagined. Unfolding over 6 sessions, Nicki Koziarz walks women through the Book of Ruth, focusing on the Moabite woman’s 5 practical habits that kept her eyes on God: Ruth accepted the assignment of refinement, followed through on her commitments despite her feelings, remained open to the movement of God, gave others what she needed, and moved forward in faith. I was provided a copy of the book in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion by B&H publishers and Lifeway as part of their blogger team.

God has a funny sense of humor. He just gets me every single time. My life… to put in simple terms is CHAOTIC. I balance more than I should, but I do it because my heart is always in the right place. Everything I do, is because I want to, because I feel that the LORD has called me to do so. I’m not going to complain… in fact I love my life… but there are some days… some days I want to throw in the towel and quit. I want to just sit back and watch the world go by instead of always pushing forward. When I received this book in the mail… I knew that was God’s funny way of making light of the situation. I decided to take a break from my every day and just sit and listen. The book in itself is an incredibly easy read. You can’t help but be drawn into the book, into the pages. Everything Nicki wrote, I felt at some point in my life. This book does not throw the bible at you but rather Nicki uses scripture to back up her revelations, giving you “a ha” moments of clarity. I couldn’t help but press the book into my chest almost like embracing it with a hug. Once you read this book, you will realize that there is so much beauty and so much of God’s love and power when you continue to press on. Remember the Lord doesn’t give up on you. Your story is just beginning… don’t give up on it now.

Do you ever just want to quit that new healthy eating plan or workout program? Are you ready to run away from home (for a night) after a long, hard day? Does it feel like your job is just too draining to go on? We all have times we are ready to call it quits and have had enough of something in our lives. In 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn't Quit, Nicki Koziarz shares a few habits that have helped her keep going when she feels like throwing in the towel. In this book, Koziarz offers great advice and tips to evaluate your situations and make better choices for your life. Throughout 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn't Quit, she relates those habits and modern life choices to the choices of Naomi, Orpah and Ruth from the book of Ruth in the Bible. Koziarz also shares several stories from her own life. At the end of each chapter, she offers a short recap of the highlights and a question or two to answer to relate the chapter to your own life. At the end of this book, Koziarz lists verses to look at or memorize to help your thinking when you need reminders not to quit. She also lists 5 questions to ask yourself to keep on you on your own spiritual path that God has for you. I especially like books like 5 Habits of Woman Who Doesn't Quit because it bring the Bible to life for me and really helps me relate it to my life today. Koziarz shares her own stories and writes in such a way that I felt as though she was sharing with me personally at a local coffee shop. I am not really a woman who want to quit often, but at times I have been the quiet quitter she shares about in chapter 6. I found this book just really helped me have an attitude of wanting to serve the Lord in spite of having feelings that say otherwise some days. I wish she had shared a bit more on knowing when we should walk away from an assignment, because sometimes I think I just hang in there too long with some situations that simply aren't going the right direction for me. Otherwise, I found this book to be both easy to read and helpful. I think there are times we could all relate to Koziarz. I would recommend it. It would be a great book for a study. Proverbs 31 will soon be starting an on-line study for those who are interested on April 18. I have done their on-line Bible studies in the past and found them to be quite good for me. I received this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review in exchange for the book.

This is a must read for anyone that has ever battled with quitting and all the emotional baggage and ramifications that comes with it. I found it difficult to put down and a life-transforming book. Nicki’s book is a great guide and encouragement about not only continuing on with our day-to-day commitments but with our dreams in life. Her funny stories lighten tough life topics and I loved reading her farm stories! Great biblical references to the book of Ruth and verses of encouragement!

Nicki Koziarz didn't quit her dream of writing and is now on her way to having a bestseller with her newly released “5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn't Quit”. Nicki shares her own personal and very candid stories to demonstrate how human the feeling of wanting to quit it all truly is. This book encourages us to follow through with our commitments despite how we feel. There are so many times that we are worn down and worn out. We are physically, emotionally, and spiritually tired. All these feelings make us want to quit it all, but Nicki challenges us to “look into the future with confidence because we are determined to become the vessel for that which we have been created to be.” Don't waste anymore time “convincing yourself of what you can't do”, open the cover to this book- you won't be able to quit once you've started!Nicki Koziarz didn't quit her dream of writing and is now on her way to having a bestseller with her newly released “5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn't Quit”. Feelings of being unfulfilled are real and raw! But, could it be we are unfulfilled, because we are cutting out on the assignments of life before they are complete? What do we do when we feel weak, overwhelmed and out of control? Do we give in to our feelings and quit? Or do we look to God’s Word to find strength, focus and a fresh perspective? In her authentic and conversational style, author Nicki Koziarz, speaks directly to the heart of women. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, a woman working in corporate America, a small group leader or fresh out of college, Nicki will equip you with 5 Habits to help you: 1. Recognize when you’re on the verge of quitting. 2. Receive perspective to enable you to press on. 3. Rekindle your determination for the goals and dreams you held long ago. A book for women of all ages, 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit, would work well for personal or small group study.

I'm so glad I got my hands on this book. Nicki's painfully honest storytelling made me immediately feel at ease with her, like she is my slightly quirky, always has a pot of hot coffee on, next-door neighbor. And since I live on my own little "fixer-upper farm," I could completely relate to so many of her stories about gardening, faith, and family. I always enjoy reading books by authors who don't claim to know it all, but are wiling to share the tough life lessons that have brought them one step closer to the person they were created to be. Nicki is warm and endearing, and her willingness to be vulnerable and honest about her shortcomings is a breath of fresh air. I love how this book was saturated with truth from scripture and the beautiful story of Ruth's faithfulness in spite of her challenging circumstances. A few of my favorite take-away's from the book were: the challenge to discover my refinement assignment, to choose what I want most over what I want now, and how following through unleashes the power of God in my life. I would highly recommend this book to you if you have ever struggled with the whole "quitting" thing. There is so much practical application in the "Make it Stick" and "To be Honest" sections at the end of each chapter, you won't be able to help but apply the 5 habits to your own unique situation.

This is one of those books that is going to challenge you, but in a good way. If you start and quit more things than you've ever completed, this is the book for you. Written from a very honest place, it has pearls of wisdom way beyond your expectation. So many books make promises on which they do not deliver, but this book delivers practical applicable wisdom to help you quit quitting. If you're a quiet quitter like me, Chapter 6 is your chapter. There is deep wisdom written in such an easy style that you won't have to get someone to explain it to you or find your scholar friend to interpret. Loved this book! It is one I will re-read often.

I would have never described myself as a “quitter” – but this book, The 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit can make you rethink that. Nicki provides great advice for quitters and non-quitters a like, women and men. Mixed in with all this great advice are hilarious anecdotal stories of Nicki and her family’s life on the “fixer upper farm.” I highly recommend this book for anyone – young or old, male or female, quitter or not!

This book had me hooked on the first page, "I began by going back. Back to my faith, back to my dreams, back to my hopes, and back to the woman I wanted to become." YES! I just stared at those words… How had I gotten so far off track and why was I not fulfilling my dreams?? Because I had QUIT on things! Nicki's book revealed truths to me and put things in a perspective that I had not even considered before… like what type of Quitter I am and WHY I am quitting things. This book is a GAME CHANGER. It is a road map for getting off of the sidelines and stepping back on to the main path of your life… your journey… with God, family, friends, work, your commitments, everything! Nicki's book is written in such a non-judgmental way and you feel like she is just sitting at your kitchen table talking this out with you. Along with her hilarious personal stories, Nicki weaves the story of Ruth, backed up by many other scripture references, into the book as a teaching on how to apply the 5 Habits. I could not put this book down - I read it in less than 24 hours - and it is full of spiritual nuggets that will stir your soul. My copy is now lovingly highlighted and underlined… and I know I will go back and read it again and again. As Nicki talked through all the things she has quit, I was nodding along.. yup, me too. You will read this and realize that you CAN change your ways, you can create a new path, all while forging a closer relationship with God by accepting His assignments, following through on commitments, giving grace to others, and being open to where He wants to take you. No matter what stage of life you are in, this book is for YOU!

Quitzilla - Yes I have been - and if you have been - this is a quick read just for you - Nicki weaves in personal stories, research and The book of Ruth - to guide you through steps and habits to become someone who doesn't Quit! Each chapter recaps quotes - and then there is a "to be honest" area for you to reflect upon areas of your life where these steps can become an action plan...you can reflect and plan! This book comes at a perfect time in my life where I need discipline and have said heck no in the past - so working through this book will help me to be dedicated to the change I am making - and stick with it...the questions are so helpful in creating my plan! Thank you Nicki - look forward to reading more in the years to come!
