From USA Today bestselling author Ellyn Oaksmith comes a novel of change, challenges, and ultimately, kindness...

Being overly kind isn't in Kylie Harrow's nature. This has never been more evident than when Kylie vents her frustrations to an innocent employee—and the whole scene is posted online, tanking her career and earning her the dubious distinction of "World's Worst Boss." But when she flees home to the South, Kylie finds her childhood home has changed. The high school quarterback is now the hot and handsome sheriff. Her mother has turned her home into a nudist colony. And worst of all, having heard about her daughter's exploits, her mother won't let her in the door until Kylie completes fifty kind acts in fifty days.

The task seems easy enough at first—and may even help repair her media image—but it quickly turns into a hilarious quest that leads Kylie down a bumpy road filled with new challenges. What started as a gimmick to save her career evolves into a mission to save a spunky old woman and her little dog from homelessness. As Kylie learns about the nature of kindness, she finds the path to happiness and, for the first time ever, maybe even love.

"Even at her most un-kind, I fell in love with Kylie! Her journey is not only funny and exciting but also heartwarming and inspiring. Ellyn Oaksmith has created one for the keeper shelf!"
—Gemma Halliday, New York Times & USA Today bestselling author

I really loved this story. As the story begins, I was not liking how Kylie was treating her co-worker but as it unfolds we see how she goes back to her hometown and learns life lessons on kindness and discovers herself and her life again. Such an uplifting and heartwarming story and the characters enjoyable and likable.

I am actually a little surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I expected something light hearted, but not a lot of depth … and I was only half right. While it’s a humorous read, Oaksmith manages to deliver a good amount of growth for Kylie as she learns what it truly means to be kind and help someone by giving them what they really need. The characters are what makes this book so great – from her mom who opened a B&B for nudists (without telling her), to the sexy sheriff who keeps finding her in the least flattering situations, to her best friend the gay hairdresser who embraces the cliché. Not to mention Margaret and her ugly mutt, who are the catalyst for Kylie becoming a better person. You’ll find at least one of them speaks to you and has you coming back for more. Well, and Kylie herself who just can’t keep out of trouble … I am also a bit surprised at how Kylie somehow manages to get herself into so many messes but it is a romantic comedy – just sit back, giggle and go with the flow :) (Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review)

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This was my first book by Ellyn Oaksmith, and I really enjoyed the story. It's a sweetly romantic, funny story that kept my attention from the beginning. Kylie is considered to be the Worst Boss Ever...after she was caught on camera berating her very pregnant assistant for not doing her job. After slinking back to her home town with her tail between her legs Kylie is allowed to stay with her mother if she agrees to perform 50 Acts of Kindness. Kylie comes off a bit prickly at first, but as she gets into her acts of kindness it becomes hard not to root for her. I really enjoyed the story and the message. Kindness is something that everyone should strive for.

I truly think this is a book every single person should read! A great book that's well written and who couldn't love Kylie after all! Easy to follow so there's no getting lost of confused! Makes for a wander if this will be the only one or a start to a new series! *Received for an honest review*

I don't normally read romances but the main character in this book is a hoot. The book description intrigued me, the sample hooked me. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

What a refreshing book.  I loved it!  Kylie says what we are all thinking but know we can't say out loud.  Imagine if something you said and did was seen by thousands on youtube.  Too funny.  I loved all the characters.  I can't wait to read more books from this author.

What happens when Kylie ends up on youtube ranting and raving at her pregnant account assistant criticizing her pregnancy and work habits? She loses her job, has to sublet her condo and move back in with her mom in rural North Carolina. In order to work her way back to employment in New York Kylie decides to start a viral campaign to transform her persona from "World's Worst Boss" to a kinder more compassionate Kylie by posting 50 acts of kindness. This turns out to be a journey for both Kylie and everyone who reads his story. I loved this story! It was both humorous and poignant with a shot of romance.

I really loved this book. It is a laugh out loud, and cry sometimes, read. It is a story of a young woman learning many life lessons. I read this book in one sitting and will probably find myself reading it again and again. This is a great read for teens through adults.

Young or old this book is worth reading. In the beginning Kylie isn’t a very likeable person and she soon finds herself back in her dreaded hometown where through humorous adventures and heart touching events she learns some important life lessons we all need to learn. Besides learning some life lessons, you find this book enjoyable and entertaining.

Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. Smart and very funny, it follows Kylie as she is called into see her boss. Kylie assumes it's for a raise or promotion, however reality is somewhat different. The antics that follow are funny and poignant as she faces her past and tries to make sense of her future. This is a wonderful book that highly recommend. Thank you to the publisher for providing a complementary ARC in exchange for an honest review.
