50 Pincushions to Knit and Crochet: Stash Your Sharps in Something Cute and Handmade offers a nice variety of beautiful pincushions for knitters and crocheters to whip up. The instructions are clear, the photos are vivid and I was inspired by a few of these fun patterns. This book includes the usual sections all good pattern books do; information on materials, equipment, symbols, abbreviations, an embroidery guide as well as information on both knitting and crocheting stitches. Designer Cat Thomas says she has childhood memories of making pincushions and gathering her moms pins. She has created some very pretty and creative patterns for this collection. I decided to crochet the Flower Mandala pincushion. The pattern was easy to follow and I made it easily and quickly. With a nice variety of patterns, I think 50 Pincushions to Knit and Crochet makes a nice addition for knitters and crocheters pattern stash.  dislaimer: This review is my honest opinion.
