Cool, but not what I expected. This book does have 50 designs for various types of robots, but not much beyond that. I was hoping the book would discuss more of the "bits and pieces" of a robot so you can create your own. It mainly just shows you the robots the author came up with and how to draw them. Also, most of the robots inside are more "bug-like" in appearance and design and less humanoid. A good reference book, but not a "how-to-create-your-own book.

I love drawing SciFi characters and robots. This is a really cool book to reference, and learn how to draw various types of robots. One robot design typically has a single page dedicated to it, with usually 5 stages of the drawing starting at the basic block structure to the final completed design.
