Reviewed by Darin Godby for Readers' Favorite Author Jay Payleitner in his book, 52 Things Husbands Need from Their Wives gives examples of how to build a strong and faithful marriage. While this book is directed toward wives, I was encouraged to know that Mr. Payleitner has also written a book for husbands entitled: 52 Things Wives Need from Their Husbands.  This book will allow wives to see things from a man's perspective and maybe view things unlike they have before? There are practical suggestions that can be used in order to have more effective communication between a husband and wife. These are short chapters which give a powerful thought to consider without beating home any one particular issue. Author Payleitner also leaves at the end of each chapter what he calls a "Takeaway," which condenses the key points so  readers better understand the chapter. There are scriptures used throughout the book that allow readers to do additional research into a particular area if they desire. While there were times I felt the book favored the man's side, I am saying that without reading his other book for the husband and his wife's needs. This may indeed create a very balanced approach if both books are read together. However, I will say it is a thought provoking book worth considering if you are interested in developing a stronger, more productive marriage. One of the strong points of the book, I felt, was the desire to help a wife see her husband's need for her, her strengths, her love, her confidence, and her support.
