About the Author

Writing about military life comes naturally to Marna Ashburn Krajeski because she's seen it from all angles. She grew up an Air Force brat, served five years on active duty as an Army helicopter pilot, and was an Army wife for twenty years.

In her first book, HOUSEHOLD BAGGAGE: THE MOVING LIFE OF A MILITARY WIFE (Wyatt-MacKenzie, 2006) she wrote about the mayhem and memorable moments of Army family life. Her second book, HOUSEHOLD BAGGAGE HANDLERS: 56 STORIES FROM THE HEARTS AND LIVES OF MILITARY WIVES (Wyatt-MacKenzie, 2008), is an anthology of emotion-filled accounts written by military wives.

Krajeski's articles and essays have been published in Off Duty, Military Spouse, Married to the Military, American Baby, Skirt!, The Military Times, SO Rhode Island, and the Providence Journal. She and her two nearly-grown children live in Rhode Island.
