What is an 'entrepreneur'? Precocious 6th grader Valerie Marzdin finds out when her class becomes involved in a one-of-a kind project that opens their eyes to the possibilities of the free-enterprise system. The stakes are high, the competition is fierce, but Val perseveres under peer pressure and obstacles that seem insurmountable. The project challenges their ingenuity and stimulates their imaginations to the max. At the same time, friendship, trust and family ties are tested, but Val wouldn't trade this experience for anything, not even a free pass to Middle School.
