About the Author

Michael Schiavone is the author of Sports and Labor in the United States, which was longlisted for the 2016 PEN/ESPN Award for Literary Sports Writing. His other books include Unions in Crisis? The Future of Organized Labor in America, Austerity and the Labor Movement, and the forthcoming Wrestling and American Society. He has a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from Flinders University and a PhD from the Australian National University, and currently resides in Tianjin, China.
