About the Author
If it's creative, Roy W. P. Reed has tried it. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queen's University, painting, sculpture, ceramics, welding, needlecrafts, sand sculpting, and pumpkin carving are just a handful of the artistic challenges he's taken on. Whatever he learns, he teaches to his primary school students (not the welding) and members of the local community. You can also see him presenting at education conferences, sharing innovative, research-based techniques and strategies for teaching math and art to young children. Roy is the creator of "Dot to Dot to Dot: 88 Advanced Dot to Dot Puzzles with Extra Dots," a fun and challenging way to learn and practice skip-counting and repeated addition. He is also co-creator of "A B!TC# In Time: 30 Snarcastic Stitches for You to Stab," a much less school-appropriate collection of irreverent cross-stitch patterns featuring quips from his sister and fellow author, Tara K. Reed. With those projects under his belt, he's working through the third draft of a paranormal YA novel and teaching himself Welsh, Turkish, and Mandarin (if he's not distracted by the new loom in his garage). Roy lives with his wife of 25 years in northern Ontario, surrounded by rocks and trees and water.
Erin has been exploring art and design since she could hold a pencil. She studied graphic design at Humber College in Canada and has contributed to many Dot-to-Dot and cross- stitching books. She is the owner of Bitter Honey Custom Creations in London, Ontario, as well as a hairstylist and married mother of fıve. www.BitterHoneyCustomCreations.com
