About the Author

Lee Tobin McClain read Gone With The Wind in the third grade and has been an incurable romantic ever since. When she’s not writing emotional, faith-infused love stories with happy endings, she’s probably driving around a carload of snarky teen girls, playing with her rescue dog and cat, or teaching aspiring writers in Seton Hill University’s MFA program. She is probably not cleaning her house.

In addition to the Sacred Bond Guardians series, Lee is also the author of the Sacred Bond novels--His Baby Bond, A Brother's Bond, Her Reunion Bond, and The Doctor's Bond--as well as several spinoff Sacred Bond Friends and Family novels. Her latest endeavor is the Arcadia Valley series of contemporary Christian romances... all emphasizing faith, food, and of course, romance. Secrets of the Heart is her first full-length novel in the series. Lee also writes for Harlequin Love Inspired; check out The Soldier and the Single Mom, The Soldier's Secret Child, and Secret Christmas Twins to get started.

Two people with tragedy in their lives come together to bolster confidence that have been lacking. Each other is made to feel secure as their relationship goes through several levels. A good read.

Very good read It was given a 5-star even though there were some places proofreading or editing missed. The story did have mystery with some violence although not graphic. I enjoy these stories because the characters are written as being challenged in their faith and Christians are challenged in real life.

This is the second book in the Sacred a Bond Guardians series and it is just as good as the first. I am so glad I started to read this series. The author has brought some deeper subjects to light, and shown how we as Christians Dan deal with them. I appreciate her bringing such sensitive topics to her books because they truly are a part of everyday life for some people. We need a good example to follow. Amber has decided to take a job and relocate her and her daughter in hopes of losing her stalker ex-boyfriend. She just wants a normal life that does not involve him. Little does she know that he knows exactly what she is doing and where she is going. He follows her there, and the stalking escalates to new levels. Travis is an ex-cop turned janitor. With his cop instincts still intact he quickly becomes Ambers protector. Over time feelings between Amber and Travis start to develop, but both are too cautious to act on it. When things go too far and a kidnapping takes place, will he be able to save her? I truly enjoyed reading this story. Not only was it well written, but it kept me wanting more. I found myself unable to put it away because I just had to know what happened next. Highly recommend to anyone who loves a little suspense, and is not afraid to read something a little deep. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
