About the Author

Ruth Ann Nordin has written seventy romances, ranging from Regencies to historical westerns to contemporaries. She plays with other genres from time to time, but her first love is romance. She has been happily married for eighteen years to a sweet and funny guy, and they have four sons, who are all taller than Ruth now that they're 12, 13, 14, and 16. The good thing is she doesn't need a ladder, and there's always someone to take care of a mouse that squeezes its way into her Montana home. She considers herself very lucky to have led such a charmed life. Being able to play with characters and create stories is just icing on the cake. Hopefully, she'll get to keep doing this many years to come.

I must say this is the second time I have been surprised by reading some of the free e-books I liked this story short sweet, I liked it so much I downloaded the others from her even the ones that you had to pay for. I am glad to add another author to my likes.

I had read A Husband for Margaret before this one. I thought they were both cute stories. Short and sweet, but a nice read. I enjoyed it.

I loved it! I was such a cute book! I shows that your prince charming doesn't always ride in a white horse! I was really funny! I laughed my way through the book! :) It's a must read!

A nervous man, a reluctant bride, an overbearing momma with a momma's boy attached at the hip, what will it take to find happiness? This story was a fun read. Only 243 pages long, but worth the time. I laughed, and was happy that it all worked out in the end. Looking forward to fimding the next book!

This was a quick little afternoon escape for me. However, it was not only sweet, but great for a young lady and what to watch out for if a boyfriend's mom seems a bit too eager.

I only gave it one star because I couldn't go lower. I have read better stories written by teens. The writing was very amateur. The characters were not likeable or interesting people. I felt very detached from the book as I was reading. Obviously the other reviews disagree with me, but I don't know what they consider good writing.

This book is written with the quality and grammar of a junior high student! It needs edited to remove the nonsense, space fillers and add adult language. I never made it past the dance. I tried, but the conversation in the story is just horrible. If people "love" this book, I should write. I could have written more adult friendly books at 12!

Oy. Somewhere in the first couple of a pages of a story that is set in the 1800's a character used the phrase "Ew gross!" Seriously? I finished this book and I also read one of her others that was just as shallow. Morbid fascination, I guess. Flesh out the story. Give the characters some depth. And for pete's sake do some research! It wasn't horrible, but it certainly could have been better.

The author seems to have difficulty remaining in the time period she has started with. I read a few things that I felt showed a lack of continuity in the writing. Slow moving and not believable.

Free books are usually free for a reason. Poorly written, no plot and predictable.

I was unimpressed wth this book. I found the characters to be underdeveloped and thought the storyline lacked depth and breadth. Additionally, there are several grammatical errors within the text, and I just cant get past that. Not my favorite.

The plot line is not bad, but it really needed to be fleshed out a lot. The characters were not believable, nor was the dialogue. I laughed, but usually because of the absurdity of the story. This might be an ok book if the characters and storyline were developed a lot more. I felt like the author was rushing through the story, and may have spent little time thinking it through and writing it.

I never ever put a book down before i finished it.....until this one! A repetition of another one, only with different names

This book is all about building up for sex. There is no plot. This is a short, boring read not worth your time.

The story line is too shallow. But i suppose this is appropriate for preteens and teenagers.

For a quick read it was a cute story. The way it was written annoyed me because there was no depth. It felt like it could have been better if it was extended and written properly. I felt like i was reading snippets of a book because the maon characters were just jumping into things without much reasoning. This is better suited for a school paper.

I am a teacher. The story is totally predictable, the language is not appropiate for the time. The characters are not built to be believable. For example, Peter's mom changes her mind about the wedding in one page... and the protagonist (I can't even remember the name) decides not to get married in a blink... If a student of mine would have written this story, he wouldnt have earned an A!!!

A complete turn off, when the story is taking place in the 1800's and all the termenology is wrong.
