About the Author

B. Sharise Moore is a proud mom, author, curriculum developer, host, and the poetry editor for FIYAH: Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction. She is the author of the YA novel Dr. Mavellus Djinn’s Odd Scholars, and she curated and edited Conjuring Worlds: An Afrofuturist Textbook for Middle and High School Students. Trudi-Ann Hemans was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of sixteen, she left everything familiar to move to the United States and pursue her dream of becoming an artist. Her dream came true, as Trudi is currently a full-time illustrator and designer.
