I laid my book down and got down on my knees and talked to my Master the best way I knew how. I didn’t know so much how to pray, but since it seemed like he was talking directly to me, I got real serious about it.

About the Author
Hello my readers: I was born in Wayne County, West Virginia on October 8, 1920. My wife Sarah and I raised seven children.
When I was twelve years old, I learned what home was like without Mother.
Forty-three years later, I have learned what it is like without children.
For thirty-five years I have been a soldier of the Cross. And some of my favorite hymns are reprinted within the pages of this book, along with my story. One song title has become the subtitle of the book"Time Has Made a Change in the Old Home Place."
Here's my first piece of advice as you start to read the book: Worry doesn't help tomorrow's troubles, but it does ruin today's happiness.
