Jesus speaks clearly from the midst for the more than fifty Christians from all walks of life who gather in this special little book. You will thrill to such stories as: Christine, whose near-death experience moves her to teach English to immigrants making a new home in America; Donna, who feels abandoned by God during her painful divorce, until He comes to her on the wings of a ladybug; Karen, whose faith pulls her through a difficult time when her husband is facing unemployment; As each of the ordinary folks who contributed stories to this special little volume knows, God invariably unfolds beauty from ashes; His very presence is like a cool glass of water in the desert.

The only story I've read in this anthology is the first one about the Thai woman who should not have a baby, but had one anyway to make everybody else happy. It is eating my heart out. If you haven't bought this book and read this story, then your life is not yet complete. From now on, I will buy anything that Larkin Huey writes.

Some stories made me cry and some stories made me jump for joy but every story had a meaning. It was a beautiful book and i highly recomend it!

The short stories provide positive reinforcement to biblical principles. They are entertaining and uplifting, without being like sermons.

The first story in this anthology is the most touching I have ever come across in my 65 years of life on Earth. This is what I think, Larkin Huey should write a full-length book based on this story. It would be a best-seller for sure.
