This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy. What a fun book with two very competitive "enemies" that start to realize that they were made for each other, after a long while! At first, I did not see how Emery and Carter were even going to have anything in common when she was such a junk food lover and he was kind of a snooty foodie. It was great to watch as they both battled their past issues and worked to get past those struggles. You could see that Emery needed to stand on her own and be able to stand up to her parents. Carter needed to get past his bad memories of his father and only later found there were some good memories. I loved that while Carter kept struggling with his new restaurant, when the right solution showed up, he was ready for it and knew that it was right. Loved the HEA, and their gift exchange!

I love Emery and Carter. They’ve known each other forever, they’ve tested each other their entire lives, and they ended up being the next couple to be set up by Carter’s family. Yet, their story was different. This was not a long-time love affair or a second chance at love. Emery and Carter didn’t like each other growing up. They were not nice to each other, their families were not friends, and they didn’t really keep in touch. Then they were thrown together, not knowing that they were even going to be living in the same apartment, and things changed. I know this is fiction but I still felt like the story was rushed. Emery was just out of a horrible relationship and jumped right into Carter’s life. Carter didn’t necessarily push her but he didn’t help her get past the wrongdoings that were done to her. I don’t feel like he understood that she had to move past her last relationship to be able to be with him. I didn’t feel that heat or the spark right off the bat between these two. They pushed each other’s buttons all the time but there was very little true communication. I love the Montgomery Brother’s series and have read them all. It was fun to see what some of the other characters were up to and how their lives had continued.

4 1/2 STARS! A DASH OF CHRISTMAS is the next book in Samantha Chase's beloved Montgomery Brothers series and brings us the story of restaurateur Carter and childhood nemesis Emery in a really adorable take on an enemies to lovers story. Carter comes across as a bit cold and moody in the beginning, but it doesn't take him long to warm a reader's heart to his plight. He went against the family grain to become a chef and successful restaurant owner, so he is struggling with the right move when he wants to expand into something different. Emery feels a bit beaten down when she comes into the first scene, but a few days in Carter's company has the sassy spitfire he used to deal with coming back to life and challenging him tooth and nail. His mom might think she's being smooth trying to fix them up together, but there's no way they can stop hating each other long enough to consider the dating potential ... right? I recommend this book to anyone loving a good enemies to lovers story with a strong, sassy dialogue between the characters. This entire series has been delightful, so you can't go wrong picking up any book featuring a Montgomery.

Very unique premise for a Christmas story, yet so enjoyable and fulfilling that I couldn’t put it down. A sure winner for the upcoming holiday season. 5/5 stars

Carter & Emery's story has all the elements that you expect from a Samantha Chase book. It is hard to put into words the connections that a reader feels when they dive into one of her books, but if you love heartfelt romance stories, "A Dash of Christmas" is a page turner that leaves the reader in such a good place after finishing Carter and Emery's story. Having read many of the their stories, I find it a bit sad that this is the last of the Montgomery books. Each is a standalone read, but once you read one of them, you will fall in love with the whole Montgomery family. A beautiful read for all ages, I would like to thank NetGalley & Sourcebooks for gifting me "A Dash of Christmas". My review is based on my opinion of my reading. 5 Stars!

A DASH OF CHRISTMAS by Samantha Chase is the ninth and final instalment in the author’s contemporary, adult THE MONTGOMERY BROTHERS romance series focusing on the Montgomery siblings and cousins. This is chef and restaurateur Carter Montgomery, and Emery Monaghan’s story line. A DASH OF CHRISTMAS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Told from dual third person perspectives (Carter and Emery) with an introductory chapter from sisters-in-law Eliza and Monica Montgomery A DASH OF CHRISTMAS focuses on Eliza and Monica’s attempts to find a love interest for Eliza’s son Carter Montgomery. When her fiancé with political aspirations is caught, on numerous occasions, with his proverbial pants down, Emery Monaghan’s finds herself seeking shelter, far away, for the paparazzi and unsupportive family who are defending her obnoxious ex. With an offer to help write and edit a Montgomery cookbook for the upcoming holiday season, Emery will come face to face with her childhood nemesis, in the guise of chef and restaurateur Carter Montgomery. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Carter and Emery as they are forced to live together while they work on the book, and the potential fall-out as their time together comes to a close. Emery Monaghan was all but forced into the relationship with Congressman Derek Whitman, a relationship that her parents supported and adored but Emery knew Derek had been unfaithful, and the sh*t was about to hit the fan. A formerly independent woman, Emery found herself floundering in a world of embarrassment and heart break when the news broke about Derek’s affairs. When Eliza Montgomery offered Emery a chance to ‘hide away’ from prying eyes, Emery jumped at the chance but was caught unaware when Carter Montgomery was pulled back into her life. Carter Montgomery had no idea he would be working with Emery Monoghan, the young woman who saw Carter as nothing more than the antagonizing boy who upset her life but Carter hid his affections for our story line heroine, affections he was hoping to bring to into the present. The relationship between Carter and Emery is an enemies to lovers; an opposites attract, acrimonious childhood friendship that disguised Carter’s attraction to the little girl he would grow to love. The $ex scenes are passionate but mostly implied. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many of the previous story line couples. We are briefly introduced to Emery’s ex fiancé Derek Whitman, and her social climbing parents who are willing to turn a blind eye to Derek’s behavior. A DASH OF CHRISTMAS is a story of family, friendship, second chances, and love; an enjoyable and sweet tale of one man’s professional struggle, and one woman’s spirited attempts to make it on her own. The premise is spirited and emotional; the romance is tender; the characters are energetic and inspiring.

Carter Montgomery is a very successful chef and restaurant owner so when his mother approaches him about doing a cookbook to raise money for a charity that she's involved with how can he say no. What he doesn't realize is that his matchmaking family is at it again. His mother Eliza reaches out to Emery who just so happens to be Carter's nemesis to help with the cookbook and offers her a place to stay while she works. This comes at a time in Emery's life that she really needs a lifeline and to escape from the scandal that's surrounding her. Watch the sparks fly whenever Carter and Emery are near each other which is why Eliza and Monika put their plan in motion and work to see it succeed. You really need to read this book and go on this journey with them. It was the perfect ending for such a wonderful series and it was nice to see Uncle William and other Montgomery's again. I would definitely recommend this book. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.

This story was tugging at my heart strings in more than one way. I can’t believe this is the last story in the Montgomery Brothers series, and I’m so sad to see it end! What can I say about Emery and Carter. They had me cracking up with their banter, their fighting back and forth, and Emery’s love for junk food? She’s a girl after my own heart They both faced challenges throughout the story, and if I could reach through a screen and strangle a few characters, let’s just say Emery’s life would have been so much easier . An amazing story to finish off this series that I would HIGHLY recommend!

Ms. Chase has definitely cooked up another winner. I Love, love, LOVED A Dash of Christmas!!! It has absolutely EVERYTHING a romance reader could love with a dash of Christmas (yeah, tongue in cheek, I had to go there) thrown in!!! A Dash of Christmas by Samantha Chase is the 9th book in Samantha Chase’s Montgomery Brothers Series. When this book hit my tablet, I could not wait to start it. Emery Monaghan has had enough from the cheating low life she was engaged to. She forgave his butt when she found out about that girl, he had cheated on her with. He said it was the only time, and he would never do it again. Now, she knew the truth, and the reporters would not leave her alone so she could deal with her pain and humiliation in peace. Emery knew she had to get away. When Eliza Montgomery, a family friend, offered to let her stay at the family’s condo in New York, and a job working on the cookbook with her son Carter’s recipes fundraiser, she jumped at the chance. Carter Montgomery has been running non-stop between all of his current restaurants and his newest venture being built in Montauk for a very long time. He NEEDS a break in the worst way. And, he is determined to do that in Montauk after a brief stop at the family condo in New York. Yep, the same condo that unbeknownst to Carter, Emery is staying at…. Emery and Carter grew up together and have had a bit of love hate relationship. However, the sparks were always there but neither wanted to admit it. Emery and Carter were both smart cookies in school, but Emery hated that everything came easily to Carter, but she had to work her butt off. I loved watching the sparks fly when they started working together at the condo before Carter left for Montauk. Then, when her ex’s lawyer shows up threatening to give up her hiding spot to the press, Carter steps in and brings her to Montauk to hide out there with him. And the sexual tension really starts. One of the things I really loved about this book, and one of the reasons I loved this series is the sense of family. How they care so much about each other, and once you become one of the family…sigh. I loved the whole book/series, but I think my favorite part of this book were the Christmas Cards… Sorry Ladies, you will have to read this wonderful book to find out what I am talking about, no spoilers. I was first introduced to Samantha Chase’s wonderful books when I was at my library looking for a new book to read, when I read the blurb to Meant for You the 5th book the series, I knew I had to read it. I fell in love with Samantha Chase and her story writing abilities when I read this book. I went back and binged on the first 4 books; I could not wait for them to hit my Kindle. I have been a fan of this series ever since and this is why I am sad to see it end. I have also bought the audio versions of all of the books released thus far and have pre-ordered this one too, because I have loved it so much. Ms. Chase and her books have become one of my go to authors when I need a pick me up when I am having a bad time. So, thank you, Ms. Chase from the bottom, or rather ALL of my heart for all the “pick me ups” your stories give me.

Carter Montgomery is struggling to open his fourth restaurant. While dealing with the pressures of that he's also trying to carry out his promise to his mom, Eliza, with putting together a cookbook. Unknown to him his mom has enlisted the help of his childhood friend-enemy, Emery. Who not only is going to help him put together the cookbook but is also hiding out in their family's apartment. She's dealing with the devastating blow of her cheating ex-fiance, the hounding press and her unsupporting parents. Carter and Emery's banter is great and so realistic. The more they are together the more the chemistry between this two heats up. They end up bringing out the best in each other.

Carter Montgomery and Emery Monaghan are the stars of the 10th Montgomery Brothers series, a standalone, happily ever after, no cheating romance with sizzle. The characters are well developed, with the hero and heroine figuring out that a thorn in one’s side was hiding true romance. I could feel the chemistry between Carter and Emery although, they didn’t always respond in a manner that I would have expected. The writing was good and I will need to go back and read the other 9 of this series! I received a copy of this story through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

5 DASHING STARS!! I love Christmas and the Montgomery's....I knew this book was for me. Carter and Emery were perfect with all the feels and love to keep you turning pages. These two have things to work through, but you will enjoy their story. I am sad to say goodbye to the Montgomery's....they have became part of my life. Samantha Chase introduces us readers to characters you will always remember.

ARC for honest review with no compensation received from NetGalley A Dash of Christmas is book 10 in the Montgomery Brothers series by Samantha Chase Emily Monaghan’s philandering fiancé is accused of sexual harassment and when her parents side with him instead of having her back she accepts the offer of a safe haven from Eliza Montgomery. Little does she she know that there’s more to the offer... Carter Montgomery, successful chef and owner of several restaurants is at a crossroads...open another restaurant or find a new passion? His mother has asked him to help write a cookbook for a fundraiser but she also has another reason that he is totally not aware of...matchmaking... When Carter and Emily who have been rivals for years are thrown together to write this cookbook...sizzle happens, hearts are opened and long deep seeded feelings rise to the top...

They have been rivals since they where children and now they have been thrown together at Christmas what will happen Carter Montgomery never went into the family business instead he went to culinary school this has led to him been a leading chef with two and a third on the way restaurants but the excitement is wearing down and he is needing a new challenge so he knows that he will have to make some decisions over the Christmas break he is spending with his family. Emery Monaghan's life couldn't be more of a mess her fiancee cheated on her and her family sided with him luckily her mentor Eliza Montgomery lets her come and stay with her family. What she didn't expect was that her enemy from her childhood years Carter would be there. Can these two realise that they are actually perfect for one another she pushes him while he makes her feel safe she is comfort food he is fine dining They are perfect foils for one another Can his match making family actually pair them off before the holiday ends

I have loved each and every one of the books in the Montgomery Brothers series, and I think A Dash of Christmas was the perfect ending to it. Carter and Emery were the perfect foil for one another and their attraction was a wonderful slow simmer. The banter was hysterical, the way they used food almost as an sexy aphrodisiac was masterful. Samantha Chase has a way with words and apparently food. Don't miss this book!

Carter and Emery’s love story was amazing, emotional, and proof that there is a fine line between love and hate or foe and friend. I absolutely loved A Dash of Christmas by Samantha Chase book ten in her Montgomery Brothers series. Carter Montgomery, a successful chef and restaurateur, is unsure which road to follow next; stay the path and keep things the way they are or look for a new challenge and change things up. He decides he needs some alone time to figure things out but his matchmaking mother has a different idea. Emery Monaghan is in a bad place. Her no-good, cheating fiancé has embroiled in his scandal and she needs a place to hide from everyone; media included. Carter’s mother, Eliza, reaches out and offers her a safe haven, which it is, at least until Carter arrives; her childhood nemesis. Carter and Emery have spent most of their lives as rivals so sharing an apartment would be a major challenge. Spending time together Carter and Emery discover how similar they are; stubborn, passionate and independent. What they didn’t expect was to find a shared attraction and chemistry that was not only off the charts but sparked fireworks. Following their hearts mean Carter and Emery need to find someone who is their soul mate; their perfect fit; the yin to his yang. Before these two former rivals can commit to love and a future together they both need to figure out what their next move, career-wise, will be. Ms. Chase provided an emotional tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, strong family connections and endearing characters; providing Carter and Emery a little Christmas magic along with a chance for happiness, a future together, and everlasting love. I highly recommend A Dash of Christmas to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I hate it when a really good series ends so hearing this would be the last of the Montgomery Brothers novels was a little bit bittersweet, but Samantha Chase couldn't have given the family and the series a better send off than this seasonal frenemies to lovers story. We've seen renowned chef and restaurateur Carter Montgomery before, most recently when he played confidant and cheerleader for Christian during his battles with their father. Emery was new, an old grade school arch-rival of Carter's, in the midst of a personal and media crisis after her fiance was exposed as a sexual predator and serial cheater. She needs a place to avoid the media while she puts her life back together and Carter needs help with a charity cookbook he's promised to put together for his mother ... and the rest, as they say, is history. But it's also a very poignant story of Christmases past, of family love and family drama. It's also about those special Christmas memories - ornaments and holiday foods and the presents we always wanted to find under the tree. Best of all, it's a love story - sweet and hot and tender with those occasional flashes of irritation and anger that help turn the fairy tale into a real life romance. I loved A Dash of Christmas, and like those special ornaments and holiday foods, it just might be one of those holiday traditions I'll find myself pulling out again next year ... and the year after until it becomes a fixture in my Christmas celebrations.

Rivals from growing up, but now they need to listen to their hearts. Carter, a successful restaurateur needs some down time, so he heads to the family apartment only to find his rival from his school days, Emery, who needs some space after a scandal involving her past boyfriend. Carter's mom is now asking for them to come together for writing aholiday cookbook. All I can say is the Montgomery matchmaking is at it again!! They are both stubborn in their own ways and the banter that they throw at each other, will have you laughing out loud. The chemistry between the two is ideal. They both have baggage that they need to overcome before moving forward. Do not read this book hungry, I could have easily gained weight while reading all the delicious foods. It's sad to say goodbye to the Montgomery family but what a great ending!! You can read this book as a stand alone, but I loved the whole series!!

Holiday Magic!! This is a great holiday story full of love, romance, forgiveness and family. It made my heart happy to see Carter and Emery finally stop competing with each other and realize they had more in common than not. They made me laugh and get mad and in the end I was swept away in the romance. The update on all the Montgomerys at the end was a great bonus. Awesome catching up and reading how happy everyone is. Loved it!!

I loved that cover and the premise of this story, sadly I’m a little disappointed. I liked Emery and Carter well enough. They’re both good people who are very stubborn and I enjoyed the button pushing. There’s a pretty large group of characters and I did jump in without reading any of the previous books, but this was slightly overwhelming. I eventually gave up on trying to keep everyone straight. Plot wise it was decent. There’s a lot of push and pull and while they get together fairly quickly, they don’t communicate well and things became repetitive. I had hoped for a deeper connection between them since they’ve known each other since they were kids, but it all felt so shallow. Overall, I did like the characters enough to want to know how it ended, but it seemed to be missing a spark I was hoping for. **Huge thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca for providing the arc free of charge**

Samantha Chase has done it again! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again… I have another favorite read! ‘A Dash of Christmas’ is a wonderful, heart-warming frenemies to lovers romance with the magic of Christmas woven in beautifully. I adored Emery and Carter’s banter. Loved how they each pushed and pulled and just brought out the best of each other in every way. I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow. I will warn you, though, you may find yourself a little hungry with the mouth-watering descriptions… of the food you dirty devils, lol. Samantha gives you all the feels but keeps the details to your imagination. Please, oh please, do not let this be the last of the Montgomery series. They are such a wonderful family that I have grown to love dearly. I’m sure Eliza and Monica can find someone to work their magic on!

Finally, Carter Montgomery! This has been a long time coming and made us wonder who was going to be his forever girl. It had to be someone special, with a love for a big family and able to love his cooking. So here comes Emery!!! Who loves his family but is hiding out from hers, doesn’t want the spotlight at all and doesn’t like his pretentious cooking. It’s love at first sight. Except first sight was 20+ years ago and she is more like family, the tomboy girl he watched grow up and was his biggest pain for most of his life. This is the final story of the incredible Montgomery family. If you haven’t read them all, you can easily read this as a stand alone but you will want to go back to the beginning and catch up on all of the Montgomery’s. Watch them fall in love, suffer loss and stick together. It is truly an incredible series and Carter and Emery are an awesome way to end it. Thank you Samantha Chase for sharing them with us. Now back to Magnolia Sound…..
