Crushed, Talia throws herself into her reform work and vows never again to let her foolish heart get the better of her.

A very good book, not as detailed as her first two ..but still enough to give it historical feel..
A lovely, sweet, delight of a read, A Dream of Desire was a wonderful historical romance. I really liked this book. From the sweet romance, to the thrills of danger, and a glimpse into the darker side of London, this book was fantastic. Loved it! Talia was a wonderful heroine. She was strong willed, but in a quiet way that showed itself more subtly. I liked how, rather than moping around over a rejection, she picked up her life and made something out of it through her charity works and she was determined to see it through, even if it did bring her into danger. I really liked her. I thought she was lovely. James was also wonderful. He was very sweet and loyal to his loved ones. I loved the way he acted with Talia, when he wasn't deliberately putting his walls up. My one issue with his was that it was frustrating how he was so hung up on leaving London, and he used that as an excuse to push everyone away. And, a couple of times, he acted like an idiot in a misguided attempt to protect Talia. But, overall, I thought he was great. The romance was lovely. Talia and James were so sweet together. They had a lot of depth in their relationship, from how far it stretched back and, even when a certain someone was in denial, their feelings for each other were always clear. And, the heat between them was sensuous, though it wasn't the focus of their relationship. I thought they were a wonderful couple. The plot was fast paced and I was hooked the entire way through. There were a few twists as the dangers of working with the darker side of London caught up with Talia. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was perfect. A Dream of Desire was a fantastic historical romance. I loved this book and I enjoyed every bit of it, from the romance, to the thrills. Romance lovers, this is a book worth reading. *I received a complimentary copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review
