A Duchess to Remember: A Ministry of Marriage Novel by Christina Brooke

Lady Cecily Westruther is nothing if not practical. By agreeing to marry an older duke who already has an heir and a mistress, she can assume a wifely role—without the wifely duties. Only one thing stands in her way—a letter that could destroy her betrothal. Desperate to retrieve that letter, Cecily must match wits with the most dangerously seductive man she's ever known…

Disguised as a footman, Cecily gains entry to her adversary's house—only to be unmasked by London's most powerful man. Rand, Duke of Ashburn, is accustomed to getting any woman he wants—and he wants Cecily. He will stop at nothing, including seduction, to make her his. But Rand holds a secret more shocking and destructive than that letter could ever be…

Christina Brooke is a former lawyer who staged a brilliant escape from the corporate world and landed squarely in Regency England.

She is a Golden Heart winner and two-time RITA finalist and her books have also been nominated for RT's Reviewer's Choice Award, Bookseller's Best and the Australian Romantic Book of the Year Award. The first two books in her Westruthers series, LONDON'S LAST TRUE SCOUNDREL and THE GREATEST LOVER EVER, have garnered Top Picks from RT Magazine.

Christina makes her home in sunny Queensland, Australia with her husband, two boys and one enormous girl dog called Monty. Monty is the inspiration for Ophelia, the Great Dane in the Ministry of Marriage series. However, the resemblance of any human characters to real life people is purely accidental.

Christina loves to travel, particularly to England for research and most especially to see her dear friends and colleagues in the United States. She also loves walking, window shopping for antiques and enjoying good food, good wine and good times with her friends and family.

Loved it!

I was excited to read Cecily's story. She is such a vivacious character in the previous novels that I couldn't wait to see what would happen in her story. I continued to love her spunkiness throughout the novel, although at times I found her thought process and reasoning juvenile with respect to her impending marriage. That being said, I would not hesitate to recommend this book. It is certainly an entertaining romp through the world of the Ministry of Marriage.

Very disappointed in the book. I have read the other 2 and there was alot of heat and passions. This book had neither. I hope for the boys as they are alphas it will be a worthwhile read.

I picked up this book because I was having trouble finding something that captured my attention from beginning to end. This book did that in spades. I really liked the Duke of Ashburn and the way he turned Cecily's plans upside down. I highly recommend this book to anyone needing something fun to read.

It's very fustrating to pay so much for a book and have expectations for a least some entertaintment and those expectations are not met. Please do not waste your hard earned money on this slow boring book. I keep waiting for something to happen or for the main characters to wake a little smarter, but it never happens. Waste of time and money.
