Everything has fallen apart, and nothing is as Calla thought it was. Not her mom. Not the Guild. Not the man she was falling for. Her dreams of being a guardian are turning to dust, and she's not sure who to turn to for help. The intrigue goes a bit deeper in this one, and it was a real page-turner. Calla is racing to figure out what's going on, how to get her mom out of her coma, and how to save her classmates from a disease she's been accused of causing. There's one man she knows she can turn to for help, but after finding out she didn't really know him at all, she's not ready to trust him. It's a great back and forth watching her muddle through everything and do what she knows is right (though even the right thing doesn't turn out as she plans).

This was a thrilling continuation to Calla's story! With the shocking ending of A Faerie's Secret, I could not wait for this book to be released. I needed to know what was up with Chase. Was he really the evil lord who destroyed so many lives? Was it possible? And what did that mean for Calla? As certain details of Chase's life - before, during and after - were revealed, my heart broke for him and I was really hoping he'd find a way to redeem himself, to everyone. It was obvious that Calla was still drawn to him despite her protests, and I was looking forward to that moment when they'd finally meet again and she'd get some answers. She saw something in him, something good, something that was trying to make up for the past, and I'm really glad he had her, and that she was there for him during the more harrowing moments. This story was filled with so many new twists and turns making it completely unpredictable, always keeping me one step away from the truth. It only added to the high level of excitement that already adorns this adventurous series. I was completely taken aback by the betrayal that was unveiled toward the end of the story, not only for Calla, but for Chase. I can only hope that Calla and her new group of friends will be able to succeed with their new mission. I cannot wait to continue the journey with them.

This story is about Calla. She wants nothing more than to be a guardian and her mother is against that. But things have been happening in Creepy Hollow and it seems that it involves Calla. She is going to need all of her strength and skills along with the help from Chase to get through this. This is a great story. Calla is a strong character and determined to become a guardian. I loved more background on Chase, it answered some questions that I had. Both Chase and Calla are a great couple. There are a lot of things happening and it is hard to review then without giving too much away. I recommend reading the series in order. There are somethings that you would be confused on if you didn’t. I have to say that I loved A Faerie’s Revenge. It was a nice change from the Violet narration. I can’t wait for more books in this series. I received A Faerie’s Revenge for free from Refracted Light Reviews in exchange for an honest review.
