New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery returns with the third book in her Odds-Are-Good series!
Three nights. Two of us. One bed. Zero chance at love.
Boston businesswoman, Faye Findley, has devoted the last decade of her life to work, leaving no time for romance. Tired of being a 30-year-old virgin, Faye answers an ad in The Odds Are Good magazine, hoping to turn over her v-card to a sexy Alaskan she'll never see again.
Successful distillery owner, Trevor Starling, was left betrayed and broken-hearted when his brother and fiancée had sex the night before Trevor's wedding. Anticipating a lonely New Year's celebration, he places an ad in The Odds Are Good for a no-strings attached weekend of hot sex.
Though mistaken identity threatens to derail everything, the chemistry between Faye and Trevor turns out to be stronger than either could have imagined. And what started out as a one-and-done mission becomes much more complicated.

Having read several books from Katy Regnery, I couldn’t wait to read this one. This was one of those books that grabbed me from the start and never let me go; what a terrific read A Fairbanks Affair was. I love any story that is centred on Christmas and this story will get you in the mood for the festive season. I fell hard and fast for Trevor, there was just something about him that ticked all the boxes for me and then some. My heart went out to both Trevor and Faye with all they have been through and I was cheering for these two to get together and get the happily ever after they both so richly deserve. Having been badly burned recently, Trevor has no intention of every letting his heart become involved again, in fact all he wants is a weekend of fun with no strings attached. When Faye answers his personal add she has no idea how her life is about to change. The chemistry between Trevor and Fayer was instant smoking hot and the will they, won’t they, had me on the edge of my seat. I loved the characters, both separately and especially together. As I have come to expect from a book by Katy Regnery, the writing was outstanding, the banter was fun and the characters were easy to relate too and realistic. This was a beautifully written, heartwarming story and all in all this made for a great read that I highly recommend.
From the sexy cover to the intriguing synopsis, Katy Regnery brings a story about two individuals who are so caught up in their work lives that they never thought about starting a romance until it’s too late. At the beginning of the story we get to meet, Faye Findley, owner of Findley Imports her family’s company. She is a her dentist’s office when she happens to flip through a magazine and sees an ad that takes her by surprise. Someone is seeking a holiday companion for an intimate New Year’s weekend in Fairbanks, Alaska. Having spent holidays by herself, Faye knows how it feels to not enjoy the holidays with family. As she lost her parents and that’s how she became the head of the company. It is her hard work that has been able to make sure her younger sister wants for nothing and that has made Faye happy. Yet, there are times when she wishes she could spend the holidays with a special someone. But the only thing that it’s getting on her way is her virginity and by answering the ad, Faye hopes to do the deed while spending time with a mysterious stranger. Little did she know that her life was about to change forever, especially after she starts to fall for said stranger. Trevor Starling has been hurt in the past, ever since his ex-fiancee left him he hasn’t been able to move on entirely. He has poured his life to North Star Spirits, a company he founded with his brothers and ever since then they have been able to make it very successful. His job became his number one priority leaving him without any romantic relationships. It is the minute he meets Faye that everything changes. She is changing him for the better, yet there are secrets that both hold that could damage what they have together and he has to find a way to make her see that she is it for him before it’s too late. I very much enjoyed reading this book! It was sweet and swoon worthy. It’s evident that the characters have chemistry right away and as they get to know each other, it doesn’t take them long for them to start to feel for one another. There is the issue with Faye’s virginity and how she feels that she can’t be without anyone without being judged. That’s when Trevor comes in and makes her feel special and she starts to think that it was worth the wait. They are both workaholics and they are able to step back and enjoy each other’s company the minute they meet. We also get to learn about what happened to Trevor’s ex and Faye’s family. I do wish the book wasn’t as rushed as it felt towards the end. Needless to say, the end was sweet and it brought everything full circle. I would highly recommend reading this book and I cannot wait to read more from the author in the future. :) **I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
4.5 stars - different premise! One of the things I enjoy most about Katy Regnery books is that they are different. The storyline is never the same as other books in the same genre. This one is no different. I enjoyed Faye and Trevor's banter, their chemistry, and the way they fell in love! Trevor was hurt and betrayed bitterly and he is still reeling from that. Faye is looking to learn what romance is all about. What they find in each other is so much more. Trevor has more than one misstep in here, but luckily Faye is a patient woman and helps him see the error of his ways. I really enjoyed all the characters in this one and this was a fun story to read. I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
A Fairbanks Affair will capture your heart! I'm so in love with this story, so much that it just might be my favorite one by Katy Regnery yet, and that says a lot for me. I'd give it 7 stars if I could! I love the way Trevor and Faye are perfect for each other: from knowing exactly what the other person needs to hear, or just a simple touch of the hand in support. From start to finish, this book had me smiling, laughing and even shedding a few tears. I absolutely loved it and will revisit their story again soon!
4.5 Stars I am just loving the Odds Are Good series by Katy Regnery and A Fairbanks Affair is has become my favorite one in the series - so far! Sweet, steamy, funny, and full of heart, this book was a treat to read! I just loved both Faye and Trevor right from the start. Faye is smart, successful, self-assured, and confident – at least when it comes to business, but since she’s had to step up and run the family business there’s been no time for love, or relationships, or any type of romantic involvement. I love her pragmatism and her ability to reduce things to their simplest forms, being straight-forward about things and, at least when it came to Trevor, not being afraid to put herself out there and be honest with him. Trevor is still reeling from the betrayal of his brother and fiancé, and Faye is just what he needed to get him past the hurt and on the path to forgiveness – which is what he needed to move forward in his own life. I loved how they both supported each other and kept things real, were as quick with an apology as they were with the words the caused some of their arguments/misunderstandings, and just how sweet they both were with each other. Although this story mostly features Faye and Trevor, the supporting characters of Harriet, Faye’s sister, and all of Trevor’s family add so much to the story and help shape both Faye and Trevor. Watching Faye connect with Harry in a new way and seeing the family dynamics play out with Trevor’s family – including having to deal with his brother and his ex-fiance’s betrayal – were perfectly woven into Faye and Trevor’s story. Even though there were a few bumps for these two, the angst level was fairly low – these two quickly worked out any issues and, once they decided on a path, they were both quick to act or ask for more information from each other if there was any uncertainty. Another wonderful read from Katy Regnery that warms the heart and is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. The perfect holiday – or anytime – read! I received an advance reader copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
I love everything about Katy Regnery's Odds Are Good series!! Once again I was brought into her world that I didn't want to leave, I also fell in love people I connected with and want to revisit over and over again. Trevor, aka Mr. Fairbanks, isn't looking for love. He was burned in the worst possible way, not only by his ex, but also by his brother. Trevor places an ad in the Odds Are Good magazine for a discreet, intimate weekend over New Years with zero chance for love, but what he finds is more than he ever bargained for. Faye is a successful business woman who hasn't had time for a personal life. Losing her parents while still in college and then taking over the care of her younger sister didn't leave room to look for love. When she spots Mr. Fairbanks advertisement it intrigues her for many reasons. First, his use of vocabulary (because big words used correctly are ultra sexy). Second, he lives in a town where she has been interested in acquiring a new distillery, the trip to Alaska will ultimately kill two birds with one stone. Third and probably most important, she's still a virgin and losing her v-card is starting to become a ticking timebomb. Being a thirty year old virgin is a strange oddity and losing this one dreaded thing to a stranger seems better than explaining it to the next man she actually wants to date. She's been there, done that, and it never goes well. All goes well with the plans in place for Mr. Fairbanks and "Faith" (Faye uses an alias too) and they plan to meet the weekend of New Years. That is until Trevor and Faye meet in person the week prior and the two real people hit it off. As they get to know each other they begin to feel guilty that they have an upcoming tryst with a "stranger". Do they keep their standing plans or keep getting to know the person in front of them? Neither planned on real feelings, but is it possible for plans to change? Trevor and Faye and a wonderful couple together. Healing and growing in that beautiful way that Katy writes broken characters. The Fairbanks Affair is a perfect story for the holiday season.
ODDS ARE ‘GREAT’!! YOU’RE GONNA LOVE THIS STORY. A Fairbanks Affair is the third book in the ‘Odds Are Good’ series of standalone novels set in the wonderful, amazing state of Alaska. First, we had Luke Kingston, a state trooper instructor, and Seattle journalist Amanda McKendrick’s story Single In Sitka, then it was Montana-born veterinary student, Juliet Sanderson and Alaskan musher, Cody Garrison’s tale in Nome-o Seeks Juliet. Each was very different from the other but had that fulfilling HEA, A Fairbanks Affair is no less of an amazing read. When Faye Findley, the owner of the biggest liquor importer and distributor on the East coast, meets Trevor Starling the owner of the North Star distillery (a company she wants to acquire for her own) she doesn’t know who he is. Their attraction is instant, but Faye has plans with another man ( or so she thinks) and rejects Trevor’s advances. But, Fate had a hand in bringing Faye to the cold North in the depths of winter and has no desire to fail. Another chance meeting has the two of them getting to know one another better and both are so in way deeper than either expected. Trevor is still battling his feelings over a devastating betrayal and Faye came to Alaska with a simple plan. But their chemistry is strong and it’s not long before they have to face the truth. I loved this book. I was sweet and sexy. Trevor wasn’t an in your face dominant possessive alpha, although when he made up his mind he was all in. Faye was calm, determined and strong-minded. She soothed Trevor’s rough edges and tattered heart while he ticked all the boxes for what she needed in a man. Another fabulous addition to this wonderful series, I can’t wait to see what comes next.
With humorous dialogue, heartwarming moments and predictably, irresistible characters, the odds are readers will LOVE, A Fairbanks Affair. Regnery always delivers the goods when it comes to deliciously, tempting storytelling. Fayette and Trevor are love at it's best at the worst possible time. She needs a favor. He needs a reason to hope. Two strangers that fell upon something more are waiting to steal away with your heart. And believe me, THEY WILL.
