For years, Lydia has dreamed of overseas mission work, the way some women dream of getting married. How ironic that she needs a husband to finally make it happen. She's always been practical, however—even if it means a marriage-of-convenience so she can finally do the work she's called to do. Gabe needs a wife at exactly the right time. Plus, he's kind of hot.

After a spectacularly failed marriage, Gabe isn't looking for a wife. He and his nine-year-old daughter are doing just fine on their own. But he's happy to negotiate a practical arrangement with Lydia in order to move into a new and more rewarding job. After all, a marriage like theirs won't end up changing his life very much.

They both have their priorities, and marriage just isn't one of them. But their carefully planned relationship doesn't exactly go as planned...

A Family for Christmas (Willow Park Book 3) (Kindle Edition) I reviewed this book, for the Author. I found it refreshing. It's about two people, who wants to help others. They believe, they have a calling from the Lord. What started out, as a marriage, to help them succeed in their quest. Turns into a real marriage. It got a little of everything in it. I loved the sex scenes, in this book. It was more real. They talked to each other, about everything. By being honest with each other. They succeeded in making a real marriage, and doing the Lord work.

Must Read - A Family for Christmas by Noelle Adams (Willow Park #3) This is my first book that I have read of author Noelle Adams and I was intrigued by the story!  I could relate to Lydia character ambitions, as her character is similar to myself in more than one aspect.  I absolutely enjoyed reading this book and I hated when I had to set it down because I wanted to finish it so I knew what was going to happen next and how the book ended.  I like the dynamics between the main characters (Lydia, Gabe, and Ellie).I thought the secondary characters added to the storyline and made it close to reality.  I enjoyed this book so much I am looking forward to reading other books by Noelle Adams as well from this series.  If you haven’t ready Noelle Adams books or the Willow Park series go and get one of her books you will enjoy it!

A family For Christmas Is a very sweet story about creating a family that may not be traditional. It is a standalone however there are characters from other books and it they are great books so if you have not read Married for Christmas or a baby for I would recommend that you pick them up. I like Lydia right away and I loved what she wanted to do in India the author touched on a very relevant subject to explore. The author made the characters so real with imperfections and all I love that Gabe was not the perfect male specimen you read about so often in books, who can measure up? And as Lydia says the imperfection make him more touchable! There are some very interesting quote in the book that highlighted for myself and actually re read. And Ellie, she is lovable child, she so wanted a mom to be there, you can sense that even though she may show it. Although not a long book it has great character development and it is very very touching,

This sweet and sexy romance is the story of Lydia and Gabe. When a marriage of convenience seems like the perfect solution to the spousal problem (or lack thereof) they are facing, they agree to it with certain boundaries in place. But as they start to connect, what seemed so simple starts to become complicated as real feelings develop - but will they listen to their heads or their hearts? I really enjoyed this story. Told from Lydia's point of view, the characters are realistically portrayed, complete with the ups and downs of feelings and emotions that all couples go through. I particularly liked Lydia's interactions with Gabe's daughter Ellie who is a 9 year old girl wary of new women in her dad's life for good reason, having been abandoned by her mother. It's not an easy relationship for the two of them and there is no sugarcoating of it in the story either. The attraction that Lydia and Gabe feel for each other adds sexual tension to the story that ultimately culminates in some steamy and sweet love scenes. Gabe is an affectionate and caring lover and in turn Lydia finds herself falling in love with this man that she has married. Overall I found this to be a lighthearted and romantic read, realistic in its portrayal of two people falling in love. It's a wonderful addition to the Willow Park series. 5 heartwarming stars!

I loved how Gabe and Lydia took a common need and made it into a real marriage. They handled real struggles and resolved them and made themselves a real family.

I loved the complexity of this book and I was glad that the struggles of being a step parent were addressed. All of the stories in this series have been so well written and I can't wait to jump in to the next book.

Noelle's story's are usually sweet, this one is no exception, but it is so similar to others she has written, the plot is basically the same, honestly how many couples, especially ones that live in the same community are willing to marry for convenience instead of love, and naturally they all fall in love for real, and the 25 plus year old females are always virgins? It's not realistic. In this particular book toward the end Lydia says she met Ellie for the first time 3 months ago, but in fact she used to babysit for her, I hate being picky but we readers pay attention to things like this, the authors should too, sorry for the somewhat negative review, I believe Noelle Adams books are well written, she just needs to broaden her subjects.
