A Far Traveler: The First Alien by W. Blake Heitzman

An ancient alien’s story of our past-
The search for his remains-
A race to save our world.
Alien assisted time travel and history intervention.
World-renowned tycoon Horace Haines acquires an ancient astronaut’s holographic record. Its story is incredible: Hunted by human psychics, the castaway alien seeks refuge with a Bedouin shaman. The account ends without revealing the extraterrestrial’s fate, so Horace hires vagabond engineer, Matt Krause, to find out what happened.
Things go awry from the start for Matt and his brainy girlfriend, Stephanie Noble. A murder implicates Stephanie. Strangers haul Horace away during a corporate coup and henchmen corner Matt and Stephanie in a deserted office.
From an underground labyrinth in Nevada to a Sufi stronghold North Africa, Matt and Stephanie must traverse a perilous maze in their quest to learn the truth about Earth’s first alien.
A Far Traveler is the 2013 Global Ebook Silver Medal Winner in Science Fiction.

About the Author

Blake grew up just south of Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he spent his spare time exploring the desert in his World War Two surplus jeep. Sometimes he listened to old timers’ tales of Geronimo, Pancho Villa, and Billy the Kid. Today he weaves his love and respect for the desert along with bits of what he’s heard and seen into his stories. A retired Professional Engineer in the State of California with Masters Degrees in Energy Conversion and Urban Planning as well as experience as a college math instructor, Blake's interests range from science and history to aliens and the Kaballah. Heitzman is influenced by his favorite writers: Stephen King, H.G. Wells, Bradbury, Vonnegut, Michael Crichton and Tony Hillerman. He is currently writing The Shaman Gene series, the story of Earth’s rise to join galactic society. "The Robot's Daughter", is the second in the series, although it has been designed to be read as a stand alone novel as well. Two more novels: Seekers of the Scroll and The Forceps of Sharon are in draft.  I have been very intrigued with this book. Can't go wrong with Aliens.. Great characters, fascinating story line, detailed and very interesting. Absolutly worth the read!. Great surprises.  W. Blake Heitzman has a very creative and brilliant mind. I have also had the pleasure of interviewing him on my Paranormal web series World Wide Paranormal Network (W-W-P-N). His thoughts, theories and life stories are phenomenal. I have enjoyed this book and interviewing him! Great Author and person! Thank you Blake, I can't wait to read any up coming books and more of your blog!

I have read alot of sci fi books since I got my nook, and this by far is my favorite. I even had to slow down reading so it would last longer. What more can I say, I'm going to read it again.

Interesting concept with lots of surprises. Great characters. Some of the trips into the past were a little too much. Didn't really advance the story. Just extended the book length. A little pruning would improve the pace and make this a 5-star. Still a great read and I look forward to the sequal.

An exciting book that blends the distant past with today's world. An exciting read full of twists and turns. A must read. I can't wait for the sequel to come out.
