A GROOM FOR CHRISTMAS is a new twist on the classic Hallmark Christmas movie full of family, humor, love, and a little bit of redemption.

Family pressures might just make her do something crazy...

When a young woman hires her hometown's former bad boy to be her pretend fiancé for the holidays, she finds she can't wrap up her feelings as easily as a Christmas gift.

New York jewelry designer Graceann Palmer has two days to find a fiancé to bring home to Pennsylvania for the holidays so her matchmaking mama will quit fixing her up with jerks. The Falcon, a motorcycle-riding, leather-clad former high school crush, helped her out once before. Maybe he'll do it again.

Jake Falco, man of many mysteries, is back in town on a mission--one the people of Spirit Lake most likely won't appreciate. When Graceann presents him with her crazy scheme, it gives him something he's always wanted--a chance to get to know Graceann. It also gives him the perfect opportunity to add fuel to his project of revenge.

But as Jake and Graceann grow closer, their engagement-of-convenience begins to feel like the real deal--until Jake's secrets are revealed.

Can a relationship that began with lies and secrets bloom like a rare Christmas rose into happily-ever-after?

This is my first book but Cara Marsi and I love Christmas romance so I was optimistic for this book. She didn’t disappoint me. The book was just what I like to read in Christmas stories; love, romance, Christmas scenes and great characters. All of these were present in this book. The author did a great good in detailing the characters and the snow scenes were very descriptive so that you felt like you were right then in the story. This book was about a young woman who’s meddling mother wants her married with children. After a disappointing relationship with a loser, Graceann Palmer isn’t ready for a relationship again but doesn’t want to go home for the holidays to listen to her mother. She comes up with the perfect plan; hire someone to be her fiancé. When she meets, Jake Falco in a dinner who she knew in high school, she thinks he’ll be the perfect person to pay him to play the part. Jake Falco has a bad boy image from his past and sore feelings about their home town but he jumps at the opportunity to get to know Graceann better. Unfortunately, he doesn’t tell the truth about who and what he has become to Graceann and during the time they spend together at her parents’ house for the holidays, she falls in love with him until the truth comes out. Then she has to make a decision on whether to follow her heart or her head. I highly recommend this book to all of us romance, happily ever after readers because you won’t be disappointed.

A Groom For Christmas by Cara Marsi is a fun holiday read. Ms Marsi has delivered an entertaining, well-written book. Graceann and Jake's story is a fake fiance story filled with lovable characters, drama and sizzle. This is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. I enjoyed A Groom For Christmas and look forward to reading more from Cara Marsi in the future. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I received a copy of this book from instaFreebie.

I read this book and felt like it was great not just for Christmas but any day. Graceann needs a fake fiancé ASAP and although she cant figure out why Jake a bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks would help her she goes with the flow . Problem solved right?...or is it? Jake has many secrets of his own but one that he hides deep inside is maybe he wants to belong not just on the "right side of the tracks" but on the right side of Graceann's heart. Its a great story about not judging a book by its cover, about reading through all the pages of a person and finding out there is something lovable, sweet and possibly devious...

I just finished reading A Groom for Christmas and I really enjoyed this book! A Groom for Christmas is what you'd expect it to be, but that's what I thought was great about it! It's what I call a candy read - you know what you're getting, but you like the candy, so you keep eating or in this case reading it! It's a fun Christmas holiday romance reminiscent of Hallmark romance movies except in book form. It was a perfect fun read! I liked the romance between Graceann and Jake - it was sweet and sexy all at once. The fake fiance storyline was great too. I always enjoy that idea because it's fun to see how a real relationship develops anyway. Then, of course, it's also great to see how it all explodes into disaster too! It was a very quick read - I couldn't put it down. I read it in a few days (fun escape!) in between writing and taking care of baby twins and that's an impressive feat these days! Very fun read! (**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review).

4.5 Stars Graceann needs a fake fiancé ASAP. She had a friend lined up but he went away with his girlfriend. When she comes across Jake in the local diner. Jake has bad boy looks and was a bad boy in school. Graceann remembers Jake from school he was from the bad side of town. She propositions him to be her fake fiancé and she will pay him. When he agrees to help her out little does she know that she will grow to like everything about him? He is sweet and nice to her entire family. When the time comes for her to let him go will she be able to? Or will the secrets he has been keeping from her allow her to push him away with no problem? This author is new to me but I enjoyed her writing style. Loved Jake he was sweet but still a bad boy and able to smack down the competition. Graceann was nice but found her to be a little of a hypocrite as she lied to her family but was mad at Jake about his secrets....

I was provided an eARC copy of this book by the publisher. Here is my honest review. I always enjoy reading a romance set during the Christmas holidays. I also always enjoy stories that involve marriages (or engagements) of convenience. Marsi combines both of these elements into a sweet and enjoyable story. This is definitely what I consider to be a formulaic romance. The heroine Graceann is sweet and likeable. Jake is the perfect romance hero: good-looking and confident. I also enjoyed the sense of family and commitment from Graceann and her entire family.  I do wish there had been a little more development into both Graceann and Jake. I feel like there is more to them and wish that there had been more time given to show their inner character. For example, Graceann repeatedly points out how "tough" she is and capable of taking care of herself. While she can certainly support herself, Jake repeatedly tells her how sweet she is. I felt like she was more guarded of her heart and falling love than tough and not needing a man. I don't want to spoil the ending for you .... I know there is usually debate about the groveling that the hero must do and Jake comes through in such a great way at the end. Being a formulaic romance, the happy ever after is guaranteed, but I did not predict it playing out as it did. Marsi definitely threw in a twist! It was so satisfying in fact that I wasn't quickly turning the page for an epilogue (although there is one). Two of Graceann's friends, Kate and Zach are mentioned very briefly in the book (her family actually are the main secondary characters) and Marsi almost (fingers-crossed) sets up that there may be a story between these two in the Epilogue. I would certainly look forward to reading that book.  I would recommend this book to those who enjoy sweet, quick-to-read romances, especially those stories set during the magic of the Christmas season.

Review by Pauline Benning; X-posted by Melissa Snark. Graceann Palmer needs a fiancé. Sick of her meddling mother trying to fix up Graceann with men she can’t stand, this year she has decided to hire someone to come home with her for the holidays, to play the part of her future husband. When the guy she originally lined up for the job cancels on her, she is resigned to spending another Christmas having to dodge her mother’s attempts at matchmaking. Jake “The Falcon” Falco has been gone from Spirit Lake for fourteen years, but has finally returned to the small town to enact revenge on the residents for treating him like an outcast when he was a troubled youth. When he happens across Graceann, who has stopped in the local diner en route to her parents’ house for the holidays, he accepts her surprise offer to participate in a sham engagement. He found her attractive even back in high school, but back then she was out of his league. Now is his chance to get the girl and his revenge. But as time passes, they each begin to realize that they might have been wrong about what they truly wanted. This sweet novella reads almost like a retro romance. Apart from a few contemporary references, it could have just as easily taken place in the mid-20th century. All the trappings of a traditional Christmas—and a traditional Christmas story—are there: cold weather, warm house, Christmas mass at church and young children opening presents. Because the work is short, it doesn’t go as deep into character motivation and back story as a longer novel might, but the action is fast and the scenes fly by. Overall, a light, easy read with a lot of sweet holiday moments. Heat Level: warm This story might appeal to readers who like: Marriage of convenience stories Bad-boys turned good Sweet heroines An ARC was received.

I received a ARC copy from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review! I loved this book. Graceann will do anything to get her mother off her back and allow her too live her own life. Since her engagement ended in disaster when she found out her fiance was with multiple other women and even had a common law marriage wife with two kids Graceann's mother has been on a mission to marry her off and she has been thrusting less than desirable men at her daughter. So Graceann concocts a Fake engagement story for her family so they wont try to fix her up over the holidays. When her friend backs out at the last minute she sees Jake the bad boy from her high school days and offers him 5,000 dollars to be her fake fiance. Jake of course has always wanted Graceann so he agrees to her crazy plan. The situations and drama that follows is so real life you sometimes forget that these are make believe characters and not a true life story. The relationship that blossomed Between Graceann and Jake was so realistic and easy to believe but the secrets Jake is keeping could derail their love before it has a chance to grow. The author did such a awesome job with drawing you into this story and keeping your attention page after page trying to see what would happen next.
