Every year, many of us decide to change our lives with the aid of the ever burgeoning self-help industry. Every year, most of us fail. 'A Guy Goes into a Gym' pokes mostly good clean fun at everything from dieting to yoga, from relations between the sexes to retirement planning, from philosophy to the corporate zodiac. Some of the jokes are hilarious and most will afford you a good chuckle or two. There are even some (intentional or not) legitimate tips to be gleaned from its pages. And the dedications, acknowledgments, and author blurbs are all part of the humor. 'A Guy Goes into a Gym' is a good read, and I found myself quoting some of the jokes at work the next day.
