The story is of Eszti, daughter of a farmer at the turn of the 20th century in Hungary. Her arranged marriage to a complete stranger threw her into a strange world. She would have to travel on a steamer to the "new country" and then across the United States to Alberta, Canada. Adapting to the wilderness on a homestead, befriending area Indigenous people, relationships with other area settlers and birthing children would have been hard work but fulfilling. If it weren't for her illness with blinding migraine headaches and her always wanting more from life. She missed passion in her life. She missed her parents and her Romani Gypsy heritage. Most of all, she wanted peace.
