A heart wrenching short story with an uplifting ending. The saddest thing is that this bit of fiction is a reality for some. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe I should not have gave away the spirit of the ending but I do not like to see people sorrowful. I hope they see the miracles and the optimism.
Well written, opening with beautiful poem sets the stage. I wouldn't say it is exceptional but it is more than just good when it leaves a big guy like me misty eyed. Merry Christmas from the Dony Glenn family Miss Hill!!
