Repainting historic murals at Peacock Hill will pad Azure Hewitt's bank account and allow her to drift where the wind takes her. If only the group of friends working at the old mansion weren't so welcoming. Their immediate acceptance and inclusion reinforces one of the downsides of her footloose life. Add in the local car buff and mechanic? Putting down roots could almost be attractive.
The more Matt Patterson's uncle pushes him to take over the family auto shop, the less Matt's sure he wants to stay where he's planted...but even as he contemplates spreading his wings, he can't imagine a life like Azure's with no fixed address. Even so, he's positive a settled life isn't something she sees in her future.
With Azure's project nearing completion and Matt's uncle anxious for a decision, neither is sure where God is calling them to be. But if their hearts are aligned to His desire, surely their love will have a chance.
Return to Peacock Hill and reunite with familiar faces from A Heart Restored (book 1) and A Heart Reclaimed (book 2) in this sweet and satisfying continuation of the series.

I absolutely loved this book! There is a group of friends who meet at Peacock Hill every Friday night and I thought the author was spot-on in how she portrayed this group of Christian young adults. I really enjoyed their interaction throughout the book. In addition to the storyline that I didn't want to put down, I liked the strong spiritual content. I wasn't sure what to expect in Azure who lived in a camper and painted pictures for a living. I liked her! I appreciated that she stayed true to herself, but grew in who she was throughout the book. I thought the author was creative in naming her after a color...and naming her brother after a color, too. Matt was a character who was very easy to cheer for. His parents died when he was young so he was raised by his aunt and uncle. He's intrigued by Azure as soon as he meets her and I liked how he was very responsible in how he approached his relationship with her. Matt is also struggling with a decision about his future and I liked how he made the decision he felt God was calling him to even though it might jeopardize where his friendship with Azure might go. This is the third book in Elizabeth Maddrey's Peacock Hill Romance series, however it reads just fine as a stand-alone book. I am very much looking forward to reading book four! I highly recommend this book if you like contemporary Christian fiction. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Azure is such a fascinating character. I love her lifestyle, artistic talent, and her staunch nonconformist tendencies. Azure came across as a bit of an extremist at first yet she was also willing to consider other perspectives. Matt is a mister steady dedicated to his family and community yet still grieving and searching for contentment or direction. I adore this guy for his work ethic, loyalty, and faith (as a matter of fact, he reminds me a lot of my guy). Matt pursues Azure patiently and prayerfully with a few communication bumps in the road (authenticity bonus points) and they just make my reader heart so happy! I highly recommend the Peacock Hill Romance series.
