This is a two book in one edition so I have just imbedded the reviews from both books into one. Beyond World's End-I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would have probably enjoyed further if I had started from the beginning of the series. It is a unique story line featuring Eric, a bard, and is a character not typically unseen in writing as it might be construed as too feminine for a male character role. Maybe this is what drew me to read this book when my daughter had finished. Eric is bar just recently having relocated into the human realm deep in the heart of New York City just wanting to live a more normal life and to relax a bit. Of course this wouldn't be a great book if this were the case and Eric quickly finds his apartment building isn't as normal as most. When the evil Lord of the elven Unseelie Sidhe improvises a plan to enslave a drugged army and unleash it upon the humans, Eric is tasked with defeating the scumbag and setting things right, but not before hitting numerous crossroads on his adventure.  Spirits White as Lightening- Eric once again is trying to get his back on track and his studies back on course at the elite Juilliard School of Music and be normal. He has befriended many, including the Guardians, and this time he must call upon his friends to travel with him between the two worlds and defeat Aerune, who is hellbent on punishing the human race by death after losing his beloved to their hands. Can Eric find a way to entice Aerune into the magical maze where there is no escape and save the humans? fl
