Six-time Grammy Award-winning musician Kyle Hamilton has it all-money, fame, talent, good looks, and a job he loves. His only regret in life: walking away from a certain notorious virgin because he was too prideful, stubborn, and even afraid to give her the only thing she asked of him-his abstinence.

Four years and a broken heart later, Kyle realizes that sex isn't everything, and he suddenly can't stop thinking about the girl that got away. Virgin Val Jensen got under his skin like no one else ever has. He wasn't ready for her then, but things are different now. He's grown up, he's learned a few things, and he's finally figured out exactly what he wants, or, rather, who he wants.

Kyle Hamilton wants a do-over, and this time he's willing to do-or not do-whatever it takes.

A is for Abstinence, is one of those books that I wholeheartedly loved. There was much that was great about it. Kyle Hamilton, is the ultimate book boyfriend. He’s sweet, caring, and wants something real. He’s cocky but I mean he’s like a rock god. I loved that A is from Kyle’s point of view because you get to see the real Kyle. Who is dangerously in love with Val. At first, I was starting to not like Val, but I understood where she is coming from. She wanted to stay true to her virtue, no matter the cost. She built this life around it and what would it make her look like if she just gave in. Oram, as I’ve said before, has an amazing ability as a writer. Being able to completely throw a reader into this world. And with some cameos from characters from other books. It’s like full circle. Overall, I give this book Five Boundless Stars. I loved it! but my only complaint is I want more of Kyle and Val. I know I can’t be greedy....Lissa

I can honestly say that this book was way better than V is for Virgin. It had me crying laughing and swooning. Well done Mrs. Oram!! Kyle stole my heart in this book and he won Val back fair and square. Excellent conclusion to the first book. Aleah K.

This was an amazing finish to such a wonderful duel-book story! It is one of a set which all youth leaders should promote. My only concern is the usage of crude language terms. This is the continuation of 'V' is for Virgin' which centered on Valerie's story, however, 'A is for Abstinence' is Kyle's story. Kelly was so clever in her creation of the two books from both the girl's and guy's point of view. It touches on Val's life during those four years between Val's and Kyle's goodbye yet primarily is centered on his life during that time.  Much has happened to give him a different view on life. He explores the possibility of perhaps once again finding Val. If possible, I think this second book is even more captivating than the first! All YA are sure to find great reading pleasure in both books! The book cover is not as eye-catching as 'V is for Virgin' yet very applicable to the story. Kyle will undoubtedly become a teen-age and YA favorite...What's not to love!?!   My review of this book gives it a strong Four and a Half Stars rating. *The pdf file was sent for an honest review, of which I have given.
