Samantha has graduated from high school in the east and is traveling to spend the summer with the family of her deceased father in a remote Alaskan coastal village. Her childhood friend, Dan, awaits her arrival, not knowing that a new romantic interest is coming along shortly for a few weeks of the summer. Samantha's love is tested more than once, as well as her will to survive when she is attacked by an angry cow moose.
