About the Author

Suzi Katz earned a Master's degree in Sports Business Management from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Media and Technical Writing from Fitchburg State College, where she was awarded the first Fitchburg State Alumni Leadership Award for her community work and represented the class of 1992 as a Distinguished Alumni. She has been recognized as a Sports Ethics Fellow for the Institute for International Sport, and chosen as one of Orlando's "Fifty Finest Single Professionals" by Orlando Magazine and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Dedicated to serving her community, Katz volunteers with the Salvation Army Women and Children's Shelter, Hope for Stanley, and Habitat for Humanity, and is currently Southeast Regional Director for the National Consortium for Academics and Sports at the University of Central Florida. Originally from Boston, Katz resides in Orlando, Florida with her husband Jay Slowinski and their daughter Maia.
