The old house where Charlie and Deb Witt lived is the same house Frank bought, removed the second floor to make a one story house, and remodeled. A home where Frank Witt would raise his family and welcome all the friends and neighbors with love and kindness. Where Frank and Ophelia would live their last days, and be called away to be with Jesus in Heaven, in a mansion for all eternity.

This book was delightful as it contained stories about people I remember my Dad telling about when I was a child. I loved the folksy way of sharing about our ancestors. The stories illustrated the faith and trust in God that sustained them through difficult and joyous times. I am sure many who have rural and mountain backgrounds or who would like to better understand those who do, would enjoy this book. It is a quick read, as I could not put it down until I read the last page.
